This little gadget has been a lifesaver in so many ways. It is my go-to problem solver.

Rented one from auto zone for $140.00 deposit, no manual could not get on line didn't really know to work it so I erased the codes which I trying to get.this scanner works great easy to understand.

Super handy device for checking that MIL (malfunction indicator lamp, what folks call the "check engine" light) to see what's really wrong. Just make sure to scan the QR code to get access to the manual first, because it doesn't come with one.Once you've read up on it a bit, it's pretty easy to use, and it's able to clear the initial frames that caused your MIL to light up. But even better: it'll then read the "drive frames"—the data that your car stores for different driving conditions to fully test your emissions systems. This is what emissions testing locations will do, too! So if the MIL is lit, you can find out why, fix it, clear the light (with this tool), and then go on a nice drive (search the internet for "How to Perform a Basic Drive Cycle"). Scan again with the I/M Readiness to make sure the drive cycle is complete, and the drive frames stored by your car's emissions control unit will pass the emissions test.I'm keeping mine in the glove box of an older car, so that if that light comes on while away from home, I can find out why, without having to find the nearest auto parts store with a free-use scanner that's actually in service.

Good, small scanner to keep in trunk for occasional use when laptop scanner not available. Last one I loaned to neighbor and never got back. Beware!!

I really haven't used it that much. My car doesn't have engine problems. If it ever throws a code I have a scanner that will read it.

Be careful on this product. I have an 2009 audi A5 3.2. I can not get a reading from this scanner. Reviews says it works on all 96 an newer. Good luck if u have an audi.
