Sublime Songs from Stockport's finest
Fabulous debut from the saviours of Stockport. As a Stopfordian myself I feel a certain pride in seeing these lads from my neck of the woods doing so well.As a debut this is a fantastic selection of songs, bringing sounds from 80's pop and 90's Brit-pop around full circle. Charlemagne is an instant classic, but the deeper cuts on here are equally listenable. The album flows more like a greatest hits, with each song as well written and catchy as the last. My personal favourites on here are 'Getaway' and 'Honey Sweet' as they are both sublime examples of soulful songwriting. The album is a well packaged gatefold, with lyric book and artwork in one side and nice heavy vinyl in the other. All in all an excellent debut from the hardest working band anywhere at the moment. I would be very surprised if Blossoms do not become one of the seminal bands for the current generation. Only time will tell!

The fine line between rock and pop
Being nearer 60 than 50, finding great new music keeps me young (at least that's what I tell myself anyway), amidst all the industrial or grime or whatever it is called at the Mercury's last year was this band, I was instantly taken by Charlemagne, a good balance between rock and pop, and that sums up the album, great songs that make you feel good, At Most A Kiss probably my favourite, a little on the heavier side. It's difficult to say who their influences are, they sound so fresh and new, a great piece of Brit pop /rock, I hope they stay around.

Fab album which will become a favourite !
I hear 'Blossoms' on Radio 2 and liked what I hear so I got the CD. It is excellent and I am so glad I have it- my son's are wanting to pinch itSometimes when you get a CD you get one or two fab tracks and the rest .....? This little beauty is ALL good and is currently my 'best play' in the car. Love it.Hope the group does well, they really deserve success.

Intreaguing and tasty - moves forward while looking back - Indy magic!
An excellent album. Indy rock with a lot of groove and intreguing vocals. Spirited light handed guitar sound with robust bass and drums. In short... I love this new and modern sound that throws back to some of the best.
