This is a great top dressing for vegetable gardens as well as flowering plants!
Mid July, I sprinkled some of this on my vegetable garden and flowering plants and I was very impressed with how quickly it worked! Flowering plants grew more leaves quickly, and the blooms were much more than usual. My garden really took off. I had some brussels sprouts that grew a big plant but no brussels sprouts after I put this on the brussels sprouts started growing on the stem.

Helped poor, clay soil. Boosted another fertilizer.
I used to live in an area that was almost completely clay soil. We had the hardest time growing anything and having it survive. I talked to someone at a local nursery who suggested I add some phosphate to the soil since the vegetable and flower output on my plants was low. He told me that the middle (N-P-K) number would be the one that I want the highest in a fertilizer or I could just buy some phosphate. After researching, I decided to try this rock phosphate as I thought it would be a slower release and longer lasting. After a full season, it definitely ended up working out well. I noticed that the tomatoes were larger, more colorful and more plentiful than they had been the last two seasons. The flowers were coming in very bright and I had tons of blooms. If flowers died, more would come in constantly. After last season I decided to pull up the dead tomato plants to see how the roots were. The plants were cemented in place so I had to use a shovel to get them out. Most of the roots were small but there were tons of them. The large taproots were quite long. The leaves of the plants looked dark green all year but did wilt every now and then due to my bad watering habits. The plants were so large that I had to water them constantly to keep up with the fruit/flower production. When I applied it, all I did was sprinkle it sparingly here and there throughout the garden and flowerbeds. Some spots, like near the larger tomato plants, I dropped a little extra near the base of the plant. One thing to take note with this review is that I did use an all-purpose fertilizer with a 16-16-16 npk rating. The reason I felt the need to get this rock phosphate was that I wanted to boost the phosphorous number but not too much. I didn't want to shock the plants by over fertilizing them. I also wanted something that was longer lasting. I put down one bag of this last season. I have a small garden and few flowerbeds. It worked out perfectly, even gave some to my dad. The all-purpose fertilizer that I used in conjunction with this dissolved almost immediately when I watered it. They were small pellets that didn't last long. I believe the all-purpose fertilizer lasted about one, maybe two weeks depending on how much I put down when I used it. This rock phosphate is a great boost to any fertilizer and it won't over stimulate your plants. I highly recommend it. As long as you don't put down too much and don't use it over and over in one season, this will give you some awesome results, especially in poor, clay, Utah soil. :-)

Great slow release fertilizer
This product has been a life saver for me. I grew my garden in pots this year. I put in recommended amount in with my soil perlite gypsum and planted my seeds. I also added this in addition to planting the seeds to give my zucchini plants, tomato plants, and zinnias and boost throughout growing season. Make sure you wear rubber gloves and a mask when using. I will be buying a bag for next year plants. Its a slow release fertilizer that helps the roots to become stronger. Had no diseases on my flowers or vegetables I believe because I used this product. Cheaper on Amazon than local nurseries.

Great product for plants that need a boost of phosphorus.
This is a good brand. I throw a double handful in the bottom of the hole when I plant tomatoes. It helps if your soil doesn't have alot of phosphorus.
