Man what can I say about this Mic other than its great. Its super easy to use plugs right it and good to go, looks great and is professional grade all the way. I've had it for a few days and it sounds great. If your looking to start a podcast or even a home recording studio and your on a budget this is the way to go. For the price I have to say it couldn't be any better. If all SOONHUA products are this good then I can't wait to order my next product from them. After i use it a bit more i will definitely be posting the sound quality on here.

Very low output when direct to PC audio card

The instructions say to use a 48V phantom supply (page 01 of instructions) but in Q&A some note that the audio card in the PC supplies 5VDC which is sufficient. Apparently, this is not so and 5VDC from the PC audio card is not sufficient for this condenser mic. I have the mic gain and boost up so high that hum is being introduced.

A fairly good microphone for most recording purposes

Overall this is a pretty good microphone for the price. It can be used for podcasting, recording, and other purposes. The microphone requires the sound source to be quite close in range to the microphone - it does a good job of filtering out anything at a distance, though if you are doing vocals you need to keep the microphone close to your mouth so the sound doesn't drop off. What it lacks is a manual switch or indicator light. This is plug and play on a Windows PC and you can use the included cable with adapter to connect to a computer or use your own microphone cable to connect to a PA system or recording mixer. If you need a pro recording type condenser microphone with good sound quality and don't require any manual controls on the device this would be a suitable option.
