This magnetic knife block has followed me from overseas in Korea back to my the States and is still in great condition.The darker stain on the wood looks great and lends itself to a warmer and more inviting kitchen.Functionally, the magnet is very strong and can even hold a knife through a leather holster. It is quite heavy by design, and prevents you from taking the block with you when you pick up a knife from the rack. The magnet also works on both sides of the block, and provides a good amount of space to keep your set.The surfaces are flush and minimize any danger of accidental injury, provided knives are put back correctly and don’t poke over the sides.

Strong magnet for our knives. Looks clean and modern. Using both sides for larger and smaller knives. Doesn’t take up too much room and a good size to fit many.

Keeps all my knives in one place and easy to use. I don't have to worry about bacteria growing inside a knife block as this can be wiped down. The magnets are very strong but the knives are easy to take off so a good balance.Looks really nice in my kitchen as well, makes me look fancy ;).

At first I was skeptical about the quality due to the reviews. It must be a mixed bag. I think I got a good one. The quality is pretty good for the price. It's not out of this world but still very nice. The hardware that comes with the kit is absolutely garbage. One screw came bent in three different directions and the screwdriver is just a waste of plastic. So be prepared to get yourself 3 decent wood screws from your garage. And properly drill pilot holes into the knife block so you don't split any wood. The knife block itself is heavy and the magnets are pretty strong. Holds an 8-in chef's knife with no problem, it doesn't tip. It has nice rubber feet and should last a while in good condition. It being wood, I would make sure your cutlery is absolutely dry before storing your knives as laminated wood does not like water. Other reviewers complained about splitting over time. I have a feeling that water is involved. But we will see. This is just a short-term review. But overall pleased. Lastly, I was in the market for a magnetic knife block that wasn't too tall as I have low hanging cabinets because of my raised countertops. So this height about 8 in and 15 in wide is good for a set of 12 knives plus shears without overcrowding.

There are several similar magnetic holders to choose from but ordered this one for the size and because it has three magnet strips inside rather than the two most others have. I keep most of my knives in holders inside a drawer, but wanted this for a few that we use pretty much every night. The finish is very nice looking and the magnets are very strong. You really need to "twist" the knives off as the magnets are strong enough that just pulling then straight off is very difficult, and sliding them off starts putting fine scratches in the semi-gloss finish of the wood. Finish seemed like it was sealed pretty well but I put some tung oil on it for some added protection and it gave it a nice appearance. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Very effective for holding and displaying cutlery. I will likely go for a larger surface area simply bc I have more and larger knives than I realized. Very well built and attractive.

The media could not be loaded. Exactly what we were looking for! Very study and extremely easy assembly! Way easier to clean than any other knife block. Doesn’t take up too much counter space and aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. And the price is great! Couldn’t recommend enough!
