My first experience with a bottomless. The flow begins all around but quickly focuses itself in the center. It is frothier than the traditional portafilter, and allows for a larger filter basket, 21g and up. However, not all coffees can withstand such large amounts without getting bitter. But pick and choose and you can find one that will remain "high acid" and strong enough to pop your eyes open at "oh-dark-thirty". Consult your nearest Veteran if you don't know what that means. Anyhow, I am enjoying this bottomless, and its larger basket, for occassional use.

Fits my Silvia nicely and opens up the world of bottomless brewing. I really just wanted to fit a larger mug underneath, and it works great for that. The basket is good quality and very large, too large for my needs, but it is a good product. My only gripe is the handle has a little bit of a rough area at the very back of the handle. Nothing a little sandpaper can't remedy.

Having a bottomless filter really allows you to diagnose your shots a big further in another aspect. This OEM one feels very nice; hefty in the hand with a nice chrome-like finish. Nice grippy handle.The triple basket looks very similar to the OEM baskets. Works very nicely.

The bottomless portofilter is great. I swapped the triple basket for the standard double as that works for me. The portofilter is easy to use, helps with accuracy and feedback and is much easier to clean. Fits great on my Rancilio Silvia and the basket is snug in the portofilter.

I didn't get the model that's in the post. This one that I got is straight-angle while the one that I asked has the angle to the sides. . it's disappointing. I keep it because it works and because the return process is cumbersome.

I am very pleased with this new bottomless portafilter for my Rancilio Silvia. Pulls a perfect shot every time, and it's really helpful to see the crema form as the shot is pulled. The flavor of my shots is definitely up a notch, starting to be comparable to some of our best local espresso cafes.

The bottomless porta-filter along with the larger basket changed absolutely everything for me. If you’re on the fence on wether or not to make the switch for a bottomless, make the move. It makes all the difference. You’ll never stop thanking yourself
