it's less than 2ft, quite compact and only 2.5kg in weight

Does the outer go up before the inner? it looks like it does and what are the packed dimensions...Thanks

No. The inner tent is erected first and then the outer flysheet goes over that and shouldn't touch it once it's pegged down.

Does the mozzie net work for midges?

it's not 100% as the little monsters can get in at the same time you do but generally it works well.
