The GOAT of tire dressing! This stuff is amazing! The consistency makes it very easy to apply evenly. I like using the hexagon type applicator pads, which are perfect for Darkside. Once primed, 1-2 squirts on the applicator is all that is needed for my low profile tire. I also get no sling when applied correctly. Be aware that there is a cure time of 1-2 hours to apply properly. Also key to clean the tire well to remove old dressings and browning. The finish is perfect, in my opinion. Gives a low level gloss and makes the tires look like new. Not overly glossy or wet looking. The smell is not bad and seems to be low VOC—I put on in my closed garage with no issues. One thing that really stands out is the durability. I have tried a number of other products and nothing that really has the durability of this product. It is even fairly resistant to chemical treatments and can survive a few maintenance washes. I think the finish looks good for at least ~6 weeks in normal driving conditions. The price is a bit more than other products, but the quality and duration are worth it to me.

I've been professionally detailing since 1986. Before tire shine existed. Had to use AA... I've used 100s of different tire shines over the years. But this tire shine is hands down the best for longevity in hot humid environment. Haven't tried it in the cool weather yet. . But definitely the hardest tire shine to apply. But worth it. It also works great on trim . It seems like it's sticky but it dries down nice. I usually wipe the trim down afterwards with a dry microfiber. If not , if it rains it'll run down from the trim. A little goes a long long way. I've used 1 full pump style bottle so far . And I use it 5 days a week on 5 to 10 cars. It doesn't seem to stay to shiny after driving in rain but the tires still look nice and dark. With my tires anyways. This product, like all, work differently on various tires. I just ordered a new bottle. This is staying in my quiver of detailing equipment. This is my second time purchasing a Carpro product. I am very impressed with this company so far.

This is good stuff, found through a Reddit forum, worked great on the tires, applied with a sponge made for tire shine, also worked great on my hard tonneau cover on the pickup truck

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Reviews and comments from pro detailers on various blogs. Perfect shine, not glossy. Really lasts, dirt repellent, looks great...used on multiple vehicles now, and I won't use anything else. Highly recommended.

The product is fantastic, as CarPro products usually are. Darkside looks amazing on tires, is easy to apply, and lasts longer than anything that I've tried so far. The finish is fantastic unless you like super shiny and glossy tires - it looks classy. There is just one complaint and confusion about this product. I received it with a rubber band around it which included a pump nozzle applicator and an inner straw. I opened the product and broke the seal, connected the inner tube to the pump nozzle and placed it inside the Darkside bottle. 1. Because the product was filled almost to the brim (which was hard to tell from looking at the bottle), as soon as I put the nozzle in, the product overflowed out of the bottle and down the side of the bottle (and my hand), which was inconvenient but mostly my carelessness. 2. The inner tube that was supplied is too long so the bottle doesn't close when you try to close the bottle with the pump nozzle attachment. I'm guessing the inner straw/tube is not cut to proper size. So I had to rinse off the side of the bottle, and the inside of the nozzle, and then cut the inner tube to size. In doing so, I ended up easting a bunch of product and this stuff is not cheap. Seems like such a silly way of packaging and requiring a bunch of unnecessary pre-cautions before using the product. Otherwise, it is a great tire sealant.

This is really really great stuff. I little goes a long way. No splatter. I applied it 2 weeks ago, drove in rain 3 days, ran through a car wash (I know...usually hand wash but was in a hurry) and was wiping the car down after and was ready to reapply to the tires.....and I didn't even need too, tires still looked great like I just put it on!

My first exposure to this was when I had a professional paint buffer/detailer do one of my show cars. The car is a 12 year old Mustang with less than 100 miles, so the paint was good but had significant signs of oxidation. When he was done, I was so impressed I asked him what I should use to keep the shine and protection. He went to his truck and pulled out two products he used. When he left, I ordered both of them. As soon as they arrived, I tried them and was super impressed. This brought the dull faded black plastic back to looking like new and gave just the right new car tire look to the tires. I highly recommend this, it far surpasses the high end generic auto store products I previously used and I have tried them all.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the pump. It is too long. Easy to fix as I cut an inch off the tube, problem solved. Easy to apply don't be afraid to apply liberally. Deep dark look to the tires after 1 application. MAKE SURE you thoroughly clean the tires before applying. I applied a second coat after one hour. I noticed overnight it kind of self levels a bit. If you prefer a more satin finish just wipe it down after 2 hours any residue. I compared it to my previous favorite tire dressing Hybyd Solutions Graphene Acrylic tire shine and it appears to darken the tire even more. I will have to give another review on durability in the future. Update: about 2 weeks.. washed the vehicle and the tires and wheels. Car pro darksides still plenty dark on the tires showing no signs of fading yet. I also noticed after about 48 hours of initial application that the shine cured to a satin finish all on its own. So far so good I think this will last at least a month easy. ***Update 10/3/25 Hands down the best and most durable tire dressing I've used. If the tires are cleaned properly meaning using a quality tire cleaner this product will last 1-2 months depending on weather conditions. The dark finish will fade some but the protection is still there as evident by the water beading when hit by a spray gun. Again the key to the durability is the tire prep and 2 coats and hour apart.
