There's a chapter devoted to each important study skill, such as how to take notes, how to attend a lecture, etc. The chapters themselves use the key ideas that Daniel teaches. Each chapter begins with a question and stories help you to remember the content.One reviewer said this isn't for students, it is! Each chapter has about 80% devoted to students and 20% at the end for how instructors should apply the concepts to their courses. As a teacher, I found the book has given me lots of things to think about and many easy ways to implement them in my lessons. As a student I've learned a lot and I already feel like I'm remembering more of what I study.

While much of the information is something that people might already know, sometimes it’s good to be reminded. The book also sets useful strategies clearly and has a section of advice for instructors at the end of each chapter.
