Real swanky pair of creps, wooooooo.

Very comfy, and they are holding their shape and finish better than the leather versions I have had previously. A wonderful pair of shoes. Update: Over a year later, and while the rubber sole is pretty smooth now, the vegan uppers are still in great nick. Definitely outlasting the leather version which is usually more than a little scuffed by now. Update 2: Over three years later and it's finally time to say goodbye to these shoes. The soles have worn down to pretty flat and there are a couple of cracks which let the water in. What I find amazing is that the uppers are still in really good nick! Update 3: Six years or so later and these are still my daily shoes. I'm reluctantly thinking of replacing them soon as the soles are worn a bit too smooth, but the uppers are still in great nick Update 4: More than seven years later, I have finally ordered a replacement pair.

I bought these for wearing to work as I have always used Dr Martens, unfortunately after 8 weeks wear the sole infront of the heel is to splitting with an inch split between the black and clear part of the sole. Very disappointing as shoes are comfy just poor quality manufacturing.

I only bought these at the end of March so I can't comment on how well they wear at the moment, but will update my comment in time as I found other comments that did that really helped my decision to buy these. Well, what else can I say except that I am utterly in love? I wear them almost every day and they only took one painful first day to break in even though with docs I was expecting up to two weeks of pain, but apparently that's a vegan version bonus? Very chuffed! Undeniably, the price for them as opposed to the RRP is an absolute bargain. My feet are a somewhat wide 4.5 but I bought these in a 4 and they fit perfectly even with regular ankle or trainer socks. Although I'm absolutely delighted with them at the moment, I really do hope they last a long time because even though I wear them a LOT they are still rather expensive shoes with a big selling point of being durable. But, only time will tell and so will I when I update this review after a few months of wear! Thank you very much for my lovely shoes!

I have previously worn "Airseal" shoes purchased from another website and had been warned off Dr Martens as they had moved their production to China. Given that Dr Martens are about £26 cheaper, I decided to punt for the black pair, for the first time in about 10 years. I'm pleased I did. They are comfortable, hardwearing and seem every bit as durable as I remember them. The uppers of the "alternative Airseal" shoes I'd bought began to peel badly. So far so good with the Dr Martens. I appreciate that the "brown" version is, in reality cherry but I have absolutely no problem with them. They look perfectly OK - I've had no-one looking at my shoes and then pointing at me in amazement!!! I would have no problem recommending them to any veggies/vegans looking for good quality reasonably priced shoes.

I had a car accident as a five-year old child and since then I've broken my foot a couple of times due to walking on unstable ground or inferior quality footware. I owned a pair of Dr Martens about twenty years ago. I had forgotten how superior they are to other shoes. As far as I am concerned there is no better shoe. Since buying them, I've been able to focus on looking at other things wherever I go and I find myself walking with much more confidence. The soles of these shoes are amazing. You feel the quality and technology beneath your feet. That's a gift. And as for the upper part of the shoes, well I have to admit I was reluctant to buy them as I've had so many inferior shoes over the years. Now I refuse to wear any of my other shoes when I go walking on rough terrain or even in the city.

A bit surprised that they rubbed and didnt give a walking on air type of feel..I am still persevering with them as they do look quite smart..Didnt go for them because they were vegan..I went for them because they were an Amazon warehouse deal and were less than half price. Wouldnt pay full price for them.

I have trashed several pairs of shoes at work over the last year so splashed out on a pair of these. Love the fact they are cruelty-free ( an essential for me) as I don't want to wear dead skin on my feet all day. Lived in DMs as a student but this is the first pair I have bought in over twenty years. Have worm them a few times and are both smart and comfy - ideal for work.
