Culinario Mortale Deadly Fame - A Modern Murder Mystery Dinner Party Game for 5-8 Players

This was our first family murder mystery. It was a huge success. Everyone dressed up and we had food and snacks between rounds. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. This all took place last year. This year the second game has arrived ready for a family gathering just before Christmas. Excellent fun.

Bought this for my partner's birthday for the whole family. Everyone was engaged and we had a great time solving crime. Will definitely keep you occupied for at least a couple of hours and super fun!

Well put together - we had a fun evening! We were 6 adults and I gave out the booklets a few days before. It was well split down into sections and the characters were well explained. My only criticism was that it said male characters could be played by females and vice versa but this didn’t work that well. It would be better if it was made clear which characters could be either.

Lots of fun - we played this virtually and it worked perfectly. There is an occasion where it states a certain character is to read from the booklets the host will have, works perfectly fine if the host just reads this. For novices this is a great starter into murder mysteries. For those that have played before, there isn't that much role play but no reason why you can't add your own twists, my sister and her boyfriend added accents and went all out on costumes which they thoroughly enjoyed meanwhile I threw on a random outfit 15 minutes prior to playing.

Played the muder mystery game with family and a few friends It was interesting and good fun Intructions were easy to follow and the plot was good. The muderer played a good part and the end result was 4 guessed who the murderer was, 3 were miss lead to put the blame on someone else In short worth the money good fun and filled the evening.

Played this on NYE with friends. We enjoyed it so much, many twists in the story and all had a good laugh. Took me a while to find the right murder mystery and I’d definitely recommend this one!

The game proved a great success with all our players. There are too few games that can be played by just five players (as a minimum) but this is one and it worked very well (two female roles and three male). We spent nearly four hours over the game eating a three course meal between 'rounds'. It's certainly wise to make sure each player has received their brief beforehand to give them time to familiarise themselves with their 'story' and ideally attend dressed in character. Great fun!

Great Murder Mystery! It was my first one and this kit makes it super easy. Loved the fact that the booklets have sealed pages so prevents any cheaters from reading ahead. Very thought out and easy to follow. Having the online support materials so you could email people the intro section of the booklet in advance of the evening. I'll certainly be buying others by this company! Also had recommended spotify lists. One amendment we added was for people to write down who they thought was the murderer inside their name card prior to the accusations stage. As we wanted to see what people thought before people argued their case.

I played this for a Christmas dinner party and everyone had fun! My session lasted about 2+ hours at 7 players over dinner. I love how the story unfolded, and the plot twists/secrets that players revealed had everyone gasping and laughing. Getting into the game was easy, and though it is on the pricier side of a 2-hour experience, it was worth the price. The only downside is that, in order to keep sections unviewable until a specific time, the pages are sealed with perforated edges. This means, you can't resell the game in pristine condition. All that said, I'm excited to try the other games in this line!

We ordered this murder mystery two days before we planned to play it and it was going to arrive on the day we were going to play, but we wanted to prepare. I emailed the company on a sunday and within an hour they had responded and included information about the game that I could use to prepare our characters. The game itself was fun and full of weird twists. We had an absolute blast playing it and I would do it again. My only real complaint was that the murder was a little too hard to figure out. But overall, the experience was still great. Also, they included recipe links and the food was excellent. They also created two spotify playlists which were super fun to have on.

It's quite expensive, however, it was really worth it. Every player has a character and a booklet only for that character. It's very well thought through. I can only recommend this game for a dinner with family or friends or as a gift.

We enjoyed the game with 8 people, but there were some issues. The roles for 2 of the supporting/unnecessary characters were very poorly written. It makes sense to not have them know critical information ofcourse, but they were essentially sitting together in a room for the entire game having smalltalk, while the rest was out making drama.
