GREAT BUY! BORSII CALIFORNIA KING 18” HIGH BED FRAME!
We brought the California King frame back in April 2023. I attached one of the sites pictures for the one we have and will include more later. Two years to a T and it’s still going strong! It was very easy to assemble, great price for the size and quality! Worth the $200 we paid and $500-1000 we didn’t have to pay! It looks amazing, very clean, sleek, modern looking! It’s very sturdy and we don’t hear any noise. We are big tall people and have even watched movies on it with the kids and still holding up! Our mattress is about 12-14 inch; I can’t recall exactly and firm. I would say get a deep fitted sheet that fully covers your mattress. Since our frame is 18” high and the mattress also higher, you can see from afar if a sheet is not fully covering. Get a comforter or blanket that is California King so it will look nice when made up. Because the mattress is high, I don’t see the footboard when laying. It has not been a problem ever and in fact when I want to sit nearer the tv on wall at the end of the bed, I can feel the extra support there from the footboard just under where my mattress stops. So it worked out. I would’ve worried the footboard would loosen if feet or anything pushed up against it. Our frame has the bar in middle of headboard and footboard and it’s attached to the bar along the middle of the main frame, so any blankets we pull higher up and fold so we can easily tuck at the foot, otherwise we don’t tuck them and place over the footboard, which I don’t mind, but looks better to when tucked. I prefer metal over wood, because it’s easy to clean, more functional and doesn’t attract termites…I think lol. Wood tends to crack and break, but this metal frame holds up to its reputation all the way! No scratches, bends, breaks, screws missing, paint missing, and it’s been two years! A great buy and we’ll worth it!!

Sturdy, beautiful bed frame. BEWARE, center bar attached to footboard (challenging for bed linens).
This bed frame is beautiful and sturdy. I love the powder coating (easy to clean) and the 16-inch clearance from the floor to bottom of the bed frame is great for storage. The bed frame with my mattress on it, does not move or squeak and my mattress has not shifted (my mattress is a very heavy Cal King and 14 inches thick). It took just under two hours to assemble. The 30-minute assembly advertised is hard to achieve (unless you have put many of these beds together before). It took me and two others 30 minutes just to take everything out of the box, lay it out, read the instructions and inventory parts.Also...BEWARE...depending on the length of your bedspread/comforter and height of your mattress, you may have a difficult time draping the bedspread/comforter behind the foot board, as there is a center bar attached to the foot board which doesn't allow for smooth draping below this attached center bar. The center bar also makes it difficult to use a split corner bed skirt, unless the bed skirt is altered (cut for the center bar). Having a bed skirt was a must have for me, in order to hide stuff stored under the bed.NOTE: I ended up buying a very inexpensive, regular bed skirt from Amazon and made three cuts in it. One for each end corner and one for the center bar. I'm not a seamstress and didn't sew the raw edges of the cuts, so it's not perfect...but worked good enough.

Very sturdy bed
Very sturdy bed. There are multiple slats under the mattress to accommodate plenty of weight. The headboard is a little shorter than I thought it would be, but that is on me for not checking the measurements. I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it was missing a part that completes the installation (one that doesn’t keep us from using the bed though).

BELIEVE THE 1 STAR REVIEWS!
This is the 3rd version of this type of "heavy duty" frame I bought. The first one broke at the middle bar support because a contractor disassembled it wrong when working in the bedroom. The second one I let my son build to get experience putting something together, but even I couldn't get the main rails to stop bulging outward afterward. This caused all the slats to eventually fall out. This one I assembled myself and tightened everything as tight as possible. When my son moves around on the bed the slats fall out from under the mattress. One night I walked in and his mattress was sunk down in the middle. Fortunately he has large plastic storage boxes underneath that was propping the mattress up. I'm done with this "heavy duty" metal frame and looking for one like I got my other kids which are still holding together fine. Hint: it's not really heavy duty metal, the outer frame wobbles no matter how much you tighten the bolts.

Sturdy for teen with autism
I bought this bed frame for my autistic son and it was very easy to assemble. He is primarily nonverbal and he was able to hand me pieces when I told him the number, which was really a sweet thing for us. All the pieces fit as intended, there was no wonky malformed piece or terrible screw holes or anything. The bed is sturdy because my son is a big guy. I used heavy zip ties to hold the little square metal slat bars in place in the center because I didn’t want him to be able to get a bar out and wield it. My only thing is for some reason I got a ready tall frame. It’s very high off the ground and I regret that decision because I had to order a special bed step stool for it for safety… I guess in my mom brain I was thinking it would be easier to clean under the bed if he squirrels away junk like he tends to do. Anyway, I’m happy with how sturdy the bed is because he’s a big dude. The mattress does slide a bit side to side, but I prefer that over having an angle iron piece that holds the mattress in but could hurt him because it juts upward or something. I like that there’s no box springs with a thick mattress, box springs are cheap and annoying. (Please disregard our boarded up windows. They are glass with plexi and then slats over them for safety— IYKYK 🙂).
