Transformers the Movie - Robots in Disguise [1986] [DVD]

I don't have any kids yet, but when I do, this is going to be one of the films I put in their collections! I still love it even today! (22). In terms of nostalgia it is priceless, but more than that, I still get that great feeling when watching it. You can really see the influence it has had on the new films, and this has by far a better story line, not only is it in line with the original series, but its plot is just far superior! Especially considering the first new film is essentially the same as the old one. Also worth mentioning is that the soundtrack is surprisingly good considering the era! Really suits the film.I really couldn't recommend this film enough, even if you haven't seen the original series but like the new films, this is definitely worth watching. And at that price, why not try it!

I mean who first love old school transformers ??

Was as good as I remember when I was a kid. Naturally the graphics are a bit dated but still a great film. I bought it so my son and I could watch it as he's too young for the new films and he loved it. Great to see it stands the test of time

God I missed this... after so many years from my childhood I was still hugely entertained watching this again. Classic

Transformers The Movie is one of the earliest films I remember as a child, and seeing it now after so long makes me feel so nostalgic. I don't think as a child I realized quite how dark the film was compared to the series, since here the Decepticons are far more willing to kill, and we see the deaths of most of the original character lineup and the destruction of common settings of the show.The DVD box I received was quite awful. It features a fairly dull image of Hot-Rod/Rodimus Prime up front, with Galvatron to his right and the Aerialbots forming the giant robot Superion.... who doesn't show up in this film. The cover features a character/s who doesn't appear in the film. The image is also blurry and clearly just a maximized version of a smaller image. The back of the DVD features no image of the film, just the same dull image as the front with a text summary next to it.

i cant get enough of this film and at this price its hard to say no dvd arrived in perfect brand new condition, so pleased to have it on dvd format rather than my old vhs copy.

Great product excellent value for money and fun to watch.

This is my favorite episode of the original series' third season where Optimus Prime makes his return. Put this with Dark Awakening and Rebirth and you have an Optimus Prime return movie.

This video sure brought back memories when i was in primary school back in Sydney. It was a hype and this was one of the episodes i could remember from childhood. Of course, im too old for it now but back when i was around 10 years old transformers were the best!!! I bought this from Amazon and shared it with my brother. he (just 8) loved it. Especially the merging autobots and decepticons (typical). Overall, great for those who want to refresh those childhood memories...

It's a good film shame it may be hard to get hold of now.

This video brings me nostalgia takes me back to the good old days and it is a great video to see for any Transformer fan.
