Sennheiser IE 200 Wired Audiophile Stereo Earphones - Corded In-Ear Buds with High Fidelity Superior Clear Sound, True-to-Life Voicing and an Impactful Bass - Black

Probably the most comfortable pair of in-ear headphones I've owned. The plastic design may seem like a downside, but it makes these so incredibly light that they're effortless to wear, fitting securely in my ear. Some people swear by alternative eartips, but the stock ones work just fine for my ears and I have plenty of deep bass. Sound feels very balanced, not getting 'boomy', but also somewhat fun and detailed sounding. Perhaps a tiny bit sharp on some music for my tastes, but that might be my own preference and it was something I got used to quickly. The stock cable is very noisy (i.e. you'll hear it move about), but bending to ear-hooks so that they make contact with your ear and zipping up the ferrule (plastic bead) up to your neck helps a lot, but I'm mostly using these indoors so the sound doesn't bother me much, the cable is super light though and switching to a different cable I immediately noticed that it was so much heavier and thus less comfortable, even if the stock one is prone to tangling and stiff enough to transfer a lot of vibration. So that's something that'll be up to personal preference and you may be fine with what comes with it (and if you do replace it, I'd advise picking up one that's as light as possible, since the ie200's lightness is one of it's greatest strengths when it comes to comfort). Overall I'm extremely happy with these. I struggle to get in-ear headphones to stay in my ears, but after maybe a week of adjusting I don't even notice I'm wearing them, and the sound quality is fantastic for the price point. I find myself barely wearing the full size over-ear headphones I wear anymore, because in most scenarios these sound as good or better. If the next version manages to include a softer cable (and ditches gimmicky low-bass eartip position that only really serves as a possible point of failure - though one that can be fixed with a tiny bit of tape, if you're not getting a good seal) it will be a pretty flawless product in my opinion.

These things are tiny! Which means they're pretty comfortable. Comfortable enough to wear to bed and leave in overnight. Sound: very good! smooth, decent punch and slam in the bass/sub-bass. Not for massive bass-heads as i dont find the bass to be massively over-pronounced. Treble is well-controlled and doesn't offend my treble-sensitive ears. mids are present and well-presented. Overall the tuning is warm-neutral. Detail and separation are also good. The included cable works fine, but its horrendous. thin, tangles easily, extremely microphonic. Borderline un-useable. Dont even bother with it. Replaced with a linsoul cable and now all is well.

So far, so good. 20 days in: I've had some time to listen to them, once they've been used for long enough, they become almost amazing. I'm actually pretty surprised. As of today, and listening to them for quite some time, the drivers have had time to play out for a while, they usually sound better after playing music in them for some time. I feel like the sound signature has improved, the drivers feel more natural and after trying different eartips, I think I have found the sweet spot neutral response that I like. Still punchy sub bass and mid bass, whilst it keeps the mids, upper mids & treble, relatively balanced. I am certainly hearing much more in my music. I am very impressed with these IEMs. Overall, the closer to neutral sound signature is by far my favourite. I also really love the eartips that they come with. My ears are usually irritated by memory foam, but I was going to try the foam ones for a brief period to see what happens. I have been using the memory foam on these IEMs for a day and I am really enjoying it at the moment with no irritation at all. Time will tell in the next few days what happens. I will just use the sillicone ones if they get irritated because they are still very very comfortable and the sound is still very good. So, Sillicone and Memory Foam eartips are just as good as each other. The noise isolation is perfect for my use case. I am literally just trying to isolate from the sound of my computer fans and these do a great job at isolating sounds such as this. I also went outside with these, and they are quite good at isolating wind sounds, but not so much vehicles going by, but I am not using these for commuting so doesn't bother me really. The sound signature is good for a wide range of music genres. I am generally using these for classical, jazz and other genres. These are by far my favorite sound signature, even with genres that are supposed to focus on bass, they are still great, fun and exciting. The bass is good, but not overpowering. I don't like overpowering bass, so these IEMs are perfect for me. The design is also amazing. They are nice and small, also fitting in my ears very well. I tried some bigger IEMs from other brands, I constantly found myself having to push them back into my ears an awful lot. I haven't had to do that once with these, they seem to fit very well. That makes me love them even more. The cable it comes with are nice for me. I run it down my back and under my shirt. The wire also has a memory plastic that goes over the ear, giving you the chance to position the over ear hook to your most comfortable position. Overall, very good product. I am very happy with the way it is designed, the sound of the product and how comfortable they are.

TL;DR : J'ai essayé de faire une comparaison entre les IE 100 Pro et les IE 200 mais au final c'est difficile de se décider sans pouvoir les essayer soi-même. Si vous préférez du son plus spatial, les IE 200. Si en revanche vous pouvez vous contenter du "good enough"/"ça fera l'affaire", les IE 100 Pro sont pas mal aussi même s'ils paraissent relativement un peu plus plats. En revanche, si vous préférez mieux ressentir un peu plus les grondements des graves, préférez les IE 100 Pro (bien que les IE 200 peuvent descendre un peu plus bas dans les fréquences, leur profil/"tuning" font que ça se ressent moins, à moins de mettre le son plus fort ou de régler l'égaliseur pour faire ressortir ça). Le mieux, ce serait d'acheter les deux paires pour les essayer et se faire une idée soi-même, puis retourner la paire qui ne nous convient pas. À l'heure où je rédige cet avis, les IE 100 Pro étaient vendus à peu près 70€ (neuf & occasion), et les IE 200 à 119€ neuf. ~~~~~~~~~~ Je ne suis pas audiophile, mes seules expériences avec les écouteurs intra-auriculaires se limitent aux IE 100 Pro (ma première paire achetée à 95€, encore fonctionnels après un an) et les IE 400 Pro de chez Sennheiser (achetés à presque 400€, ils n'ont duré que 4 mois avant que l'écouteur de droite ne cesse de fonctionner). J'avais beaucoup apprécié les IE 100 Pro, ce qui m'a encouragé à acheter les IE 400 Pro pour voir si ceux-ci m'apporteraient une meilleure expérience sonore (sachant que je suis avant tout intéressé par quelque chose de plus ou moins "réaliste" ; je ne veux pas un son "non fatiguant" ou des graves amplifiées qui rendent ça "plus intéressant", je veux avant tout que le son me donne l'impression d'être vraiment là, comme si j'étais encore en train de jouer au piano par exemple). Alors effectivement, je les adorais... tant qu'ils fonctionnaient. Et comme c'est un modèle discontinué, j'ai dû me rabattre sur autre chose. J'ai préféré rester chez Sennheiser pour éviter de tomber dans la spirale sans fin des marques Chi-Fi, qui ont également tendance à être surdimensionnés comparés aux Sennheiser que je trouve très discrets/confortables/adaptés à mes oreilles, alors je me suis tourné vers les IE 200 vendus à ce moment à 119€ (soit à peine plus cher que les IE 100 Pro), en espérant retrouver la magie que j'avais pue éprouver avec les IE 400 Pro. Les écouteurs du IE 200 sont plus petits que ceux du IE 100 Pro, je pense qu'ils font à peu près la même taille que les IE 400 Pro. Personnellement, je n'utilise pas les embouts d'origines, j'ai préféré utiliser des embouts silicones de taille L d'un de mes bouchons de protections auditives pour le tir sportif (ça a l'air compatible et ça isole bien ; moins que si je portais les bouchons de tir, mais mieux qu'avec les embouts d'origine). J'ignore si ça fonctionne pour boucher le trou "dual tuning" qui laisse s'échapper les graves dans le IE 200 en revanche (en théorie oui mais je n'ai pas testé). Le câble (tressé) des IE 200 est clairement un peu plus court que le câble lisse des IE 100/400 Pro. Dans les deux cas, chaque fois qu'ils se frottent à quelque chose, ça s'entend relativement beaucoup dans les oreilles. Personnellement, je trouve que ça fait l'affaire. Dans mon cas d'usage, le fait que ce soit tressé fait qu'il y a moins de chance que ça ne glisse (et donc ne se frotte). En plus, mon côté maniaque n'aura plus trop à se demander si les câbles sont dans le bon sens. En ce qui concerne le son... c'est différent. Là où les IE 400 Pro m'ont donné l'impression d'être une amélioration en tout point comparé aux IE 100 Pro, avec les IE 200, je retrouve un peu cette magie (peut-être lié au fait que ces écouteurs ont le même transducteur que les IE 400 Pro qu'ils appellent 7mm TrueResponse, contrairement au IE 100 Pro), mais je remarque également certains détails sonores où ça diffère. Pour une première aventure dans le monde des IEM, les IE 100 Pro m'avaient beaucoup plu. Ils faisaient l'affaire pour localiser la source des bruits autour de soi (enregistrement avec son spatial, ou certains jeux vidéos), et pour les contenus avec plus de graves, je "ressentais" relativement bien les vibrations/grondements sans pour autant que ce soit abusif. Pour autant, en passant sur les IE 400 Pro (et même sensation avec les IE 200), j'ai tout de suite senti la différence : bien que je sentais toujours la présence dans mes oreilles, j'en oubliais parfois que je portais des écouteurs tellement le son, les instruments et les voix me paraissent grandioses et résonnent à travers une sensation d'auditorium. C'est là que je me suis rendu compte à quel point les IE 100 Pro paraissaient soudainement "plus plat", bien qu'ils faisaient toujours très bien l'affaire. En revanche, quand j'ai réécouté des sons/musiques/chansons que j'avais écouté sur les IE 100 Pro, j'ai tout de suite remarqué que les graves "grondaient"/ressortaient moins ou sont moins prononcés. Si je monte le son plus fort, les IE 200 ont la capacité de gronder, mais les aigus ressortiront également plus que sur les IE 100 Pro, alors je préconise plutôt d'utiliser un égaliseur (par exemple EqualizerAPO que vous pouvez installer sur Windows si vous n'avez rien d'autre). La première fois, j'ai dû prendre quelques minutes pour m'habituer. Sans aller jusqu'à dire que c'était strident, vous voyez l'idée. Mais finalement, après un peu de temps à les utiliser, je trouve qu'on entend relativement naturellement les voix (du peu que j'en sais, en tout cas). Je pense que c'est dû à son profil/son "tuning", car en écoutant des fréquences de test, je confirme qu'ils sont capables de "gronder" dans les "sub-bass"/très graves, ce qui je pense serait cohérent dans la mesure où ça utilise le même transducteur que les IE 400 Pro (que j'ai trouvés agréables à utiliser sur ce point ; les graves étaient prononcées sans aller dans l'excès). En soi, les graves sont là, mais à moins de monter un peu plus le son (ou d'égaliser tout ça), je pense que je résumerai justement à "sont là", sans aller jusqu'à dire que ça se limite juste à du son. Il y a des scénarios où je ressens quand même des sensations, mais juste moins que sur les IE 100 Pro. En fonction des scénarios, une paire me paraît plus réaliste que l'autre, je pense. Ceci étant, je n'utilise pas des embouts d'audiophiles, et je n'ai pas non plus appliqué la solution de coller de l'adhésif pour boucher le trou qui fait s'échapper les graves. En tout cas, en jouant à Deep Rock Galactic, le son est suffisamment discret avec les IE 200 pour que je le monte 2 fois plus forts qu'avec les IE 100 Pro (sachant que de base mes réglages sont très silencieux), et les graves sont toujours très discrètes (je sais qu'elles existent mais je ne le "sens" pas). J'avais un doute si j'allais aimer les IE 200 comparés aux IE 100 Pro, mais à défaut de pouvoir reprendre une paire de IE 400 Pro, je pense que ça fait très bien l'affaire pour quasiment 4 fois moins cher que ce dernier et à peine plus cher que les IE 200 Pro. Je les trouve notamment plus confortables à utiliser, et une sensation de son spatial plus élargi. Ceci étant, j'ignore si c'est adapté pour les metalleux. J'ai essayé d'écouter un court enregistrement et je suis un peu perplexe. D'un côté, la batterie nous "rentre moins en plein visage", mais de l'autre, j'ai été surpris de me rendre compte que la guitare électrique aussi paraissait vaguement plus discrète. J'ignorais à quel point les guitares électriques avaient besoin de graves pour "grogner" (oui, j'aime les métaphores). Au final, c'est difficile de se décider sans pouvoir les essayer soi-même. Les IE 200 me plaisent pour leur meilleur confort et un son plus spatial, plus grand, moins plat, qui donne une meilleure sensation d'être présent, alors que les IE 100 Pro ont parfois des graves qui me paraissent parfois plus réalistes, car dans la vraie vie, quand on se tient à côté des instruments, on ressent également les vibrations dans l'air, et c'est vraiment un petit plus que j'apprécie. Personnellement, je n'utilise plus que les IE 200 au quotidien à domicile, car j'y retrouve ce que j'avais dans les IE 400 Pro et que je n'avais plus en retournant sur les IE 100 Pro (un son qui me paraît véritablement spatial, un meilleur confort, et une meilleure isolation). Mais mes préférences sont peut-être différentes des vôtres, alors je vous conseille si possible d'essayer les deux. D'autant plus qu'il me semble avoir vu des avis de professionnels et/ou enthousiastes qui étaient déçus par les trois paires d'écouteurs.

Great entry level IEMs. The included foam tips are actually great and isolated external noise pretty good. I mostly listen to rock, metal, heavy metal, death metal, hard rock and such, and this earphones brings life to them. I previously owned a CX27s and the upgrade is really noticable. The guitar solos sound "crunchy" and textured. The kick drum sounds tight "thud", doesnt sound like flat "boom". Overall the the audio output quality is very good for the price. The wire quality could have been better, it has that "microphonic" character, where when the cables rub on your cloths, the sound travels to your ears.

OK I accept you wont get super hi-fi quality with this design but some of the reviews online over-egg it. In general it does the job, with a couple of exceptions - the over-ear bits are deliberately flexible, presumably for easy adjustment, but this also makes them difficult to fit in the first place, and I found they kept coming off, which defeats the purpose of this design. Also the markings for right and left are very difficult to spot, at least for an old geezer like me - even with glasses

Lo que más me ha gustado de estos in ear es su comodidad, podría llevarlos puestos por horas y horas y no me cansaría de llevarlos puestos, son tan livianos y pequeños que en comparación con otros in ear es como si no llevaras nada. Su sonido también es muy bueno, tiene unos agudos bien pronunciados pero cero sibilantes; los medios resaltan muy bien las voces y los bajos tienen muy buena pegada. El sonido está muy bien balanceado lo que los hacen aptos para monitoreo. Yo los uso para monitoreo y para escuchar música y me encantan tanto por su sonido como por su comodidad.

Now this is my first real investment in I would say in an audio equipment rather than just another pair of earphones, until now I've been just using earphones worth 5kyen so this is a huge surprise. I was skeptical at first as to if there would really be difference in the sound of my records(take note I still listen through CD) but I truly underestimated this device. I will list down the differences that I've noticed so far after listening to a rock record(STP/Core) and a classical/pop record(Josh Groban/Closer). Treatment of Treble,Mid, and Bass The treble sounds clear, shimmering, and crisp. The vocals are expressive and full, I've noticed with earphones with inferior treble the vocals are lacking, the breathing cannot be heard, the small details like ps and the ss are unheard but with this set of buds they are all expressed in a balanced manner, not obnoxiously. The cymbals are amazing with these, instead of just hearing tss tss tss, you'll be hearing shimmers of gold, that's the only way I can describe it. The treble is also not painful to the ear although very present. The Mids are present again well balanced. This is very important for me because most of my records are in rock format or classical which use acoustic instruments and acoustic instruments live in the mids. The toms and bass drums have a thump and definition. The guitars are full, the distorted ones sound so clear as if the distortion from the amp is perculating. The bass is rich and fat but probably is the thing lacking in these buds. Make no mistake though the bass sounds great but you'll need to raise the volume to feel it in the kick and the bass guitar. Specifics on instruments The guitars click from the pick is extremely detailed, as if you could tell the material of the pick or the hardness thereof. Distortion is mentioned above. Because of the balancing of the EQ and probably the engineering of these buds you get a guitar tone that has body yet the top end is crisp. I'm yet to listen to EVH on these or LZ looking forward to it, also on how it handles older records. The drums are defined especially the cymbals. It is neurotic how the cymbals are so defined in these buds. you'll need to raise the volume to feel the kick but at normal level you'll be able to hear the shape of the sounds. The toms sound great. overall the drum kit can overwhelm you because of the sudden increase in definition of all the instruments, all well balanced, beautifully represented. would make any producer or artist happy Bass guitar sadly lives in the bass, honestly can't tell much about it except that it is clear when you hear it. The string section(Violins, Cellos, etc.) is breathtaking, it brought me to tears the first time I heard it on Jeff Buckley's Grace album. It is hard to explain what the buds do to each string but the warmth I guess that it gives to the orchestra is amazing. It can be overwhelming when the whole orchestra comes together, absolutely breathtaking. Overall a really great upgrade for me, can't wait to listen to my collection with these. Wearing the earphones is something getting used to(over the ear) but I find it is quite neat to look at. The cord is amazing because it doesn't tangle like others and love the look of it. Really advice music lovers who haven't gotten an audio equipment grade buds to get their hands on these, seriously you cannot put these buds in the category of earphones, they're more like inner ear monitors if anything. If you're serious about music you've got to get these pair especially they give it at half price at times.
