I always wondered why bodybuilders swallow L-Glutamine by the handful. And so I decided to check it out. The label on the Solgar bottle says: "L-Glutamine is a major fuel source for intestinal, immune, and brain cells". Wow! And if that isn't enough reason to recommend it,,, "It also comprises nearly 60% of the body's total free amino acid muscle pool." PLUS,,, it regulates nitrogen transport to and from muscle tissue, thereby promoting amino acid balance." AND,,, this Solgar formulation provides Free Form L-Glutamine for optimal absorption and assimilation." So now I know why it's a favorite of bodybuilders...and now, one of mine as well.

I have used this product for many years. However, the first and only time I ordered it through Amazon, it contained a mix of yellowish tablets and white tablets. Before this, they’ve always been uniformly white. The expiration date is 08/2022 and the bottle seemed to be properly sealed. Also, the size of tablet seemed a tad different from the size of the tablets in the bottle that I already had. I’m uncomfortable taking this, so I will return it.

I have been using this brand all my life as has my family and the ingredients are excellent quality. It’s great value for money as they last and though the tablets are a little large , they are well coated for ease of swallowing. No taste to them and despite natural remedies not being obvious in their benefits, I know this is certainly helping me feel a lot better than I had been over the past year.
