Arcoroc ARC C0199 Carafon Vin Carafe 1120ml transparent

The ARCOROC ARC C0199 Carafon Vin Carafe 1120ml arrived in a big box lightly wrapped inside with a scrunched up sheet of card - so it's pretty sturdy!I bought it from east2eden through Amazon on 2nd Nov 2020 and it arrived on 9th. At just 5.49GBP with free postage it represents great value.I have taken two photographs. The first one shows a 75 cl bottle of wine decanted into it - loads of room! I think the site pictures show a litre. The capacity is 1.120 lit. The second photo is for scale. I call it Still Life with Carafe, Moka pot and wine bottle. This sits nicely on the table, looks nice, doesn't it?It is stable on the table even when empty, nice wide base, the shape makes it drip-free as well as being easy to fill - I just plonk a wine bottle in and turn - I could almost walk away leaving the bottle upside down!My last carafe got ruined because of a dishwasher. the spout on that one was much smaller than this new one. The old one's narrow spout stopped me handwashing it, this new one is easy to handwash, it's such a great shape for holding even when wet and slippery. It could probably be dishwasher safe, but I'm not risking it when I don't have to.Why get a carafe? Well, for one thing, I don't like products on my dinner table - milk cartons, wine bottles, butter cartons etc. I like to have some time away from being sold products. The main thing is that it improves the wine - slosh it to get air in, let it breathe for a while - greatly improves cheap wine and helps bring out the best in a good wine. Of course you can use it for water, squash or lemonade in the summer - the wide spout would allow chopped up limes or lemons.I recommend this as a great buy - it's almost essential

I purchased this carafe firstly because at one litre it easily holds a full bottle of wine & secondly I thought the design was far better than the tall conventional ones in restaurants (often used for water). This one is made from thin glass so is not at all heavy. The turnaround on the order was excellent & arrived 2 days before the expected (final) date, plus it was well packaged to avoid any potential damage. I would definitely look at their website in future when considering future purchases of similar items.
