Powerful compact, AC power tire inflator.
Since most of the gas station in my city no longer have air/water service at their gas station, or if those few still have the air station available, sometime they are just too dirty, or not working. On top of that it kind of costly to keep adding quarters to keep the machine running while you adding air to the tires. Since we have 3 cars in our family, I am primarily used this tire inflator to add more air to the tires if they are running low so I thought give this unit a try instead of driving around to look for the gas station with air service available or not. This unit is very well build, the air hose is coiled and about 8' so you can easily move from front to rear tire if needed also comes with a small green box with different adapters for basketball, bike tire, inflatable air mattress etc. The unit is also wall mountable with included plastic bracket. Electrical cord is kind of short about 6' max so if your outlet is on garage sidewall, you will need the extension cord to lengthen it to use on the opposite tires of your car. Built in PSI gauge is pretty accurate too, occasionally it off by 1, 2 psi so I just slightly pump 1, 2 psi just to be sure. It a bit noisy and slightly bounce around on garage floor so I just rest my knee on it while using and to prevent it from "escaping" my garage. I also looked at the DC power tire inflator too but found it a bit clunky to use, and if you put this in a trunk of any of the 3 cars when done. Then by the time other car needs air re-fill, it may not be available since its either at work or at school. Additionally, to use DC power inflator, you first have to roll down the windows or open the door to plug in the DC cord. The manual for DC power also required the engine is running while using the DC tire inflator. In my case, the garage already "snug" with 2 cars parked inside, having the door open or inhale the exhaust fumes while refilling the air is cumbersome/unsafe so I chose the DC power Slime 40045 instead and returned the DC power for a full refund. Hope this review will help your purchase decision.

Not The Best But It Works
This product will pump a flat tire - just not in the time described - more like 10 - 12 minutes to inflate a completely flat tire. Other issues with this product: (1) it's cumbersome when used as a portable because of the locations of the air hose and electric cord. With my other Slime inflator the extension cord plugged directly into the unit and there was storage space on the unit for the air hose so you didn't have to keep tract or risk tripping over two hoses; (2) unless it's secured to a garage wall this model vibrates around on the ground enough to pull on the air hose. I had to stand there will my foot holding the unit so it would not move around so much; (3) the gauge is in increments of 20, not 10, which makes it difficult to read the exact psi so be careful to not over inflate and blow the tire; and lastly (4) there is no effective way to store the air hose or electrical cord on the unit other than to wrap them around or twist them up on this product as an older Slime model did. Slime didn't improve the product they only made it cheaper and increased the price. Bottom line - this product works but it is very inconvenient and slow. Amazon's price is one of the lowest available.

Easy to use. Quality product. Happy with purchase
Very happy with product. Received Slime tire inflator yesterday and today my tire pressure alert on my 2017 Mazda Miata RF came on my dash. The cold weather condition causes alerts to come on my cars this time of the year. I checked the tire pressure psi requirement on the door jamb of the car. I used the Slime to top off the tires of to that psi setting. I restarted the car and the dash display alert went away. I have never liked using or paying for air at the gas station so this is much better and you don't feel rushed like you do there also. We already own a battery operated inflator we keep in the car but its guage is not very accurate. I wanted a wall outlet plug-in 120v unit to service our 5 cars and the guage on this Slime unit is very accurate. I looked at many tire inflators and read many reviews before buying this one. The operation is very easy. I just hook it up to a three prong outdoor extension cord and work around the car. I turn off the unit between each tire. The instruction pamphlet states to not run it continuously more than 10 minutes at a time. (With a 25 minute break between 10 minute runs). I installed the holder bracket on my garage wall where its tidy, out of the way, and where I can find it when I need it. I didn't have a stud where I wanted to locate it so I just used 2 wall anchors I already had that worked with the 2 enclosed screws. I used a drill, pencil and level to install. The machine is very solid feeling and the handle is great for ease of picking it up and moving it around. It was pleasantly much quieter than I expected. Later, I topped off my Highlander and '02 miata. No problems. Very accurate guage. Highly recommend. I will update if any concerns arise.

Great Compressor with a Few Minor Issues for me
There is a lot to like about this compressor. It's compact, comes with a wall mount, has a long spiraled hose, seems to be high quality, runs fairly quiet, and it just works. However I have two gripes that while are not too major, they still bug me. The first one is that the attachment point to your tire is a twist on which wouldn't be so bad if it disconnected in a quick twist but it takes a few revolutions to remove it and to stop the air from leaking out. The second issue for me is that the gauge readout intervals are too large for smaller tires. I need to fill my tires to 35 and 38 psi and yet there are only 5 tick marks between 30 and 40 which can make it more difficult to be as precise. Of course it is easy enough to remedy both of these problems by just putting a little more air in the tires initially and using a more precise gauge with smaller increments to let air out and accurately fill the tire to the desired amount, but it seems like extra unneeded steps. I bought an air compressor that goes up to 150psi so granted they are going to have to accommodate that in the gauge but the twist on connector while of good quality could have been great with an optional snap connector of some sort. In the end the positives outweighed the negatives. This is a high quality air compressor that is fairly fast and silent while coming with a nice variety of accessories to go along. For the price I think it's a good deal and you can spend a little more fixing the connector issues. While I deducted a star for my issues with it I can still recommend it.

Great at Home 120V outlet Tire Inflator
The review is based on my experience. The Slime 40045 - 120V Tire Inflator is an awesome machine. Package arrived on 10/06/21, proceeded to visually inspect the outer parts for cosmetic defects (it only had two), and later that day decided to try out the Slime 40045 on my deflated 195/65R15 tire just in case the machine had any mechanical defects. Started with topping off the rest of my tires so to test the machine and not to over work the motor using it on my deflated tire. The machine can only run for 10 minutes at a time plus rest periods in between. The SLIME 40045 inflated my 195/65 R15 tire from a 5 PSI to 34 PSI in roughly over 2 minutes. I would recommend the SLIME 40045 to those who do not mind waiting to inflate more than one tire, or to those that only have one tire to inflate, or top offs. It also has a 10 min. run time/ 25 min. cool time. Pros: - easy to assemble extension hose - readable tire inflator gauge - accurate tire inflator gauge - reliable and constant source of power so motor can do its job - 120V plug in - useable accessories such as pencil tire gauge Con: - heats up quick - moves around (vibrates) a lot when in use

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money on this junk. Bought one to replace my old Slime pump I've had for close to a decade after the 12v plug broke. The first one died after about 10 minutes trying to pump a trailer tire up from 50 to 65psi. It got to about 55psi and then stopped increasing the pressure. Checked it with my good pressure gage which read 54psi. Pump wouldn't get it any higher. Returned it via Amazon and got a replacement figuring it was just defective or damaged in shipping (the box was a little roughed up). Went to use the replacement pump the other day to air up my truck tires for towing. It managed increase the pressure from 35 to just over 40psi in under the minutes and then stopped going up. 30 minutes of trying different things, plugging it into a different socket, trying a plug in 12v socket converter that runs off 120v power, letting it sit in case it was hot, but it wouldn't budge the pressure above 40. I was willing to write it off as a fluke the first time, but either their quality control has gotten so bad that your odds of 2 defective units are high enough I got 2/2 or these things have just become cheap junk. I'll just wire a new plug onto the old one, at least it's reliable.

Poor quality.
Bought this a few years ago just to even off tires on the car. Only used it less than 10 times. Was stored inside and still looks brand new. Went to use it today and it's clearly just making a noise but not actually inflating anything. If you shake the unit you can hear something rattling around inside so I assume it is toast.

Great value inflator, can also be used with an air reservoir.
Though the pressure gauge went to 130 it was impossible to get over 120 psi in the real world. It is not quiet but far from the loudest. It runs cool enough if you are working on bicycle wheels/tires that you don’t really have to give it a cool down period. It’s nice to have an inflator to get my tire mounting cylinder ( I have the specialized version) mostly full. The last 20 psi go in with a floor pump, it works great. Beads seat perfectly and if any of my wheels are running low I can top them off super quickly. The extension hose is almost useless and probably cannot be used with a car either. Nice bracket for the wall.
