Q: Does this work with the Steamdeck?

No it does not. It does not send enough power

Q: does the display off type-c alt mode work for USB3.2 hosts?

The Host connection on the USB4 Dual 4K Multi-Port Hub will require USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, or USB4 from a computer. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 on the Hub supports data (10Gbps) + DP 1.2 support. That port is the one closes to the USB Type-A port. Supports up to 1 external display when connected to legacy USB-C laptops or M1 Mac.

Q: Will this work to power and recieve display for Nreal Air glasses?

It's possible it may work if the glasses has an equipped USB-C. You would connect the the USB-C to the USB-C port that says "DP/USB4 10 Gbps" on the Multi-Port Hub. However, the Multi-Port Hub must connect to a host such as a computer, tablet or mobile phone that supports Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, or USB4 (DisplayPort Alt mode and Power Delivery must also be supported as well).

Q: Does the hdmi work as an input also?

no, HDMI only works as an output. I don't think that exists for a hub. Any monitor or screen is input only and any computer is output only. The only reason for an HDMI input is if you were plugging this into a monitor or tv, which is not what a hub device is used for.
