well you can certainly verify it by 1. Making crystals with it. 2. Corroding aluminium with it. 3. Melting it at warmer room temperatures. 4. Check its density and compare it to known Gallium measurements. There is most certainly no other material that can do all this. You could measures its purity at home to 99.5%, to verify it to 99.99% we use specialty equipment.

Does this eventually dry?
