Part was broken. Poor Quality. Sierra's parts are much better than the OEM sadly.
One of the 2 coils I ordered had a broken magnetic core. luckily I had a good magnet in my old coil so just used that magnet rather than the hassle and another wait for the return process. Honestly, Mercury has really lowered their quality standards on their parts. I think the Sierra Parts are much better made than the Mercury OEM parts. This coil was poorly made and you could tell just by looking at it. But it was functional.
