I have an XL Polygon Siskui D7 (full suspension) bike and with the winter weather making trails wet and muddy I decided that a rear mudguard has become a priority. Without any guard both me and the bike would be covered. Mud splattered all over the back of my new £120 waterproof 'showers pass' coat made my mind up. I did a lot of research and it was a difficult choice. Initially I went for a Crud Guard that would mount to the frame - it was a vast improvement, but because it's fixed to the frame it needs to be well away from the wheel to allow for the suspension to move.It was clear that a unit that mounts onto the swingarm was the only realsitic solution. There are several that fit the bill, but so far as I could see the Mudhugger Mk2's additional piece that offers extended protection toward the crank made it my preferred candidate. Gave it a test today and it was much wetter and muddier than I had expected, no rain, but loads of lying water and the trails in places were more like swamps.Verdict: there was very little splatter on my coat when I returned home, the guard did a brilliant job and kept me and the bike much cleaner than expected.It is easy to fit; Mudhugger have a good video that walks you through what to do if you're not sure - well worth a watch. Once set up it is easy to take on and off because it is held firmlyin place with 4 velcro straps. There was no movement or noise from it, so very happy with its perfommance.If form is your priority I can see this guard may be less to your liking, but can't say I enjoy having to hose down my coat after every ride (as well as the bike). For me function is the priorty for a guard (otherwise why fit one?) and the Mudhugger Mk2 works really well.Very pleased and would totally recommend for anyone riding a rear suspension bike.

Excellent product. Comes with full instructions, but better still is video on Mudhugger site. Other mudguards come with suggestion that adhesive tape be applied to bike frame before attaching mudguard - this one comes with suitably sized Helitape which offers much better protection. Uses velcro fixings, not cable ties. Slightly too large, so had to take off 5cm from rear secrion and 1cm from front extension. Easy to do. Looks good and does excellent job of reducing mud splatter. Sturdy and stable. Thoroughly recommend. Got one for wife's bike as well.

Love this for my emtb, does a great job keeping crap off me and the bike but more importantly off the rear shock! I used 2 bits of old inner tube to protect the frame as well as what was supplied!!

Fits perfect, with the small attachment it does rattle a bit against the frame on the sides but the big bit sits solid.Looks good and professional too.Easy to install with no tools. For a perfect job, follow the instructions and use tools.Before cutting anything, test the fit.

Works perfectly, no more splashes of mud.👍
