Q: What's the size of the waffle (side to side)?

You get a waffle that's a lil under 8inches (or 17cm) in it's entirety (the whole circle) :)

Q: Is it still easy to use without the drip tray because I need something more compact?

I'm sorry I don't understand what drip tray to do with being more compact. The whole waffle maker is fixed to the stand so you can rotate it. However, once you know the amount of mixture needed per waffle then you can remove the drip tray. We use small plastic cup that came with rice steamer for measuring the right amount mixture. Hope it helps.

Q: How long does it take to make 2 to 3 waffles back to back?

We'll it's going to take probably 8 to 10 mins , as each takes few mins and then you have to wait couple of mins for maker to return to correct temperature before proceeding to making next waffle. Can just put first ones in warmed oven to keep warm whilst cooking others

Q: Does it work with 220 volt ?

It says 220-240 volts on the base so it should be fine.
