Works great on my motorcycle, very impressed
My 2000 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 needed a new battery, so I thought I'd try out a lithium battery, especially at the price offered. The theory is a lithium battery is lighter, cranks better and lasts longer than a lead acid battery. When the battery was first delivered, before I opened the box I thought they might have delivered the wrong battery, the package was so light. Well, when I unpacked it, it's the right battery. It's very light , fairly small and very well packaged and shipped.I read the manual that says to check the voltage across the posts before installing which of course I didn't because I don't have a voltage tester. So I popped it in the bike. I used two of the three foam spacers provided, which helps to take up height because the battery is so small. Fit in really well.I had to get a ginormous philips screwdriver to get the two screws out of the posts. The amount of torque needed to get the posts out, I could only deduce they must be hiring popeye to screw the posts in.Well, I tried started the bike, and the cranking power is really really strong. Probably stronger than any new lead acid battery. And when I did get the bike running, the glow lights and the headlights and everything are running much brighter and stronger than a lead acid battery. Must be because these lithium batteries produce high voltage. The bike has never run better. It's like a new bike with this battery. These lithium batteries are supposed to last 2-5 times longer than a lead acid battery, we'll see. I gave a rating of five starts for long life but really only time will tell. Apparently these batteries either work, or stop working when they wear out whereas a lead acid batter would be obvious because of slooow crankingApparently you are supposed to buy a lithium only charger for these ($20-$25) but I won't bother because apparently the discharge rate is so slow you can leave the battery in the bike all winter and it should only lose 20-30 percent of it's charge. The battery throws off the same power from full to very low.So all in all, shed a few pounds off your bike, get this, the lighter battery, and know you don't have to battery tend it in the offseason. Just install, and hopefully not worry about it for five years, at least that's the theory!

Lightweight Battery that's light on power.
I purchased this after buying another similar NOCO battery earlier this year for another bike. These are much smaller and lighter than the OEM batteries, and have a 5-yeawarranty. My Honda CTX 1300 has its battery located in the upper-left portion of the fairing, which makes the bike very top-heavy, and difficult to handle at very slow speeds. This battery would have been perfect for the CTX , as it weighs only 3 pounds or so, compared to over 10 pounds for the original battery. With the spacers that come with the battery, it will adapt to many models and configurations. But this battery failed from the first time I tried it. Be aware that these lithium batteries have a Battery Management System that cuts battery power immediately in some circumstances, including over-charging and over-discharging. When cranking the engine, 9 times out of ten, the battery would kick-out immediately, and reset itself each subsequent attempt to start the engine. After replacing the solenoid and frigging around for a couple hours, I realized the problem and gave up. I put the original lead acid battery back in, and it starts perfectly every time. This particular Weize battery is not suitable for motorcycles. The NOCO battery I installed in another bike has been great, except that its Battery Management System cut power one time, and after a trip to Autozone to return it, the manager informed me that the BMS did its job, and to simply re-install it. I did not believe him. But he let me take a new battery with me in case it did not work. I did not need the new battery. The NOCO battery has been flawless ever since, and now I know that if that happens in the future, all I need to do is disconnect one terminal ( or wait 30 minutes) and it will reset itself. Good to know. This Weize battery is too weak for the job. In fact, it's no longer being made.

Battery lasted less than 18 months.
Battery did what it should until it didn't, but lasted less than 18 months, stored indoors. It didn't even last as long as a typical AGM..

The little guy that could
So much smaller and lighter that the original battery with slightly higher cranking amps for the same price as purchasing a standard battery replacement. I have to give credit to the old DieHard that this is replacing as it held up for 11 years, I think thats the longest I've ever gotten out of a lead acid. I just hope this new unit lasts as long. I had to use all the hard foam pad spacers that came in the box with the battery to get the securing strap to hold the battery in place. Granit this isn't a typical application for this battery. But it does showcase how capable these tiny batteries are. It cranks over my JohnDeer mower at a healthy speed. This battery was destined for my KFX400 atv. This was more or less an experiment but it worked so well I'm leaving it in and picking up another for my Kawasaki

Great price. Slow delivery.
The price was at least 25% lower than what it would cost in local stores. But delivery took twice as long as expected.
