I’ve been running the Taramps Bass 800 for a few weeks now, and it’s easily one of the most impressive compact monoblocks I’ve used in this power range. At 2 ohms, it delivers clean, controlled output with very little distortion even at high volume levels. The signal remains tight and dynamic, making it perfect for subwoofers that need both punch and precision. Thermal management is excellent — the amp stays surprisingly cool considering how hard it drives. The efficiency of the full-range design is clear, and voltage stability has been rock solid even under load. The low pass and bass boost controls respond accurately, allowing fine adjustments without introducing any unwanted coloration to the sound. My NVX (750 watts @2 Ohm RMS) amp started cutting out, and since it was the second one that started failing on me, in 14 months, I decided to move to a different brand. I decided to buy the Taramps 800 bass amp, figuring that since they advertise 800 watts RMS @ 2 Ohms, it would be an upgrade. BOY WAS I WRONG! This is WEAK! I have an Alpine ILX-670 head unit, and I had to boost everything to their maximum in the head unit, put the gain and bass boost to max on the amp, just to make it sound close to the NVX, but still falling WAY SHORT! I guarantee that this amp is not 800 watts RMS @2 Ohms. In order to have the same power and output of my NVX, I would need two of them. If you are running a cute little baby system, this will serve you well, but if your system is anywhere near strong, THIS AMP WILL DISAPPOINT YOU!. I shouldn't need to max everything out in order to get solid bass at 800 watts! Another thing I am not pleased with, is the lack of fuses on the exterior. I am willing to bet they are 10-15 amp, each, if two, or one 20-30 amp, revealing very weak RMS. I should have known when I saw the power terminals, which are too small for 8 gauge wire, which says it is weak. I ordered a Recoil amp that is rated at 900 watts RMS @ 2 Ohms. I know from my current four channel Recoil amp that powers my midbass, that I will not be disappointed. I will be returning this Taramps piece of garbage, and getting a refund when I receive my Recoil amp, today. I will NEVER BUY TARAMPS, EVER AGAIN! Any company that lies, misleads, and deceives, is not worth buying from!

Works really good and produces a great sond. I have this wired to 2 kicker comp VR speakers and they hit well.

Achei um pouco fraco. Usado com highlevel input, ainda com gain no 100% não alimentou bem o subwoofer.
