Google nest cameras, with battery only really don’t last that long on battery power alone. I found myself dismounting the camera every couple of weeks and recharging it. This little gem gave me continuous power and ease of installation was a breeze. It even comes with wire clips for wooden surfaces. The USB power brick is a little larger than I would like but still worked fine in a covered outdoor outlet. One thing I wish is that it came in multiple lengths such as 10 15, 20,25 and 30 feet. This didn’t really make a difference in my purchase and it’s working fine as I coiled and hidden the extra wire. I’m happy that it’s UV resistant but only time will tell if that’s actually true. I would definitely buy this product again. Important note: this is only to be used for the wireless battery powered Google Nest camera and no others.

Perfect for powering my nest cameras!

The cable itself is just fine with a Google nest outdoor camera but if you are using an auxiliary mount it may not work because the cable is straight instead of angled like the one that comes with the camera. I am using a made-for-Google mount commonly available on Amazon but you can see that the cable will not clear it, although the original one did because of the angled plug. In my case I was able to grind down the mount to make clearance. I think many people would not be able to do that.

Works like I expected..

Seemed to work just fine for about six months, but not any longer. Nothing has changed, except for the seasons. Thought I could get away with saving a few bucks, but I'm forced to buy another cable, costing me me than if I had just gotten OEM in the first place.

Stopped charging after 2 charging cycles.

These cables won't keep your camera charged and seembto interfere with the way some of the work. I wouldn't recommend them. I will try the ones from Nest at twice the cost... Hate to spend that much but I'm sick of having to climb a later and charge and or reset the camera.

I have purchased or returned around 5 of these already because they work at first but you only get a month or so before they stop working. Reached out to Amazon and they tried to get ahold of vendor but saw no way to do so. Spend the money on the correct Google cable or you will be stuck with cables that don't work after a while. Everyone I have bought has stopped working.
