Q: what is thickness (diameter) of spit rod? is it square or hexagon? what is wattage of motor? what is maximum weight it can cook (motor can rotate)?

Spit rod is 20mm square, made of stainless steel. It is strong. The motor is 15 watts. I've cooked a 3 kg leg of pork on the spit and it easily managed to rotate with this weight on the rod. I would expect it to easily operate with twice this weight, possibly more. Make sure it is central to the spit and secure so that it is not unbalanced as it rotates. Make sure you have plenty of heat for the cooking process. I did a trial run early December and had to finish off in the oven. 2nd attempt over Christmas worked much better when I ramped up the heat and charcoal quantity. Outside temperature between 5 and 9 degrees had a much greater impact on the cooking process. I'd followed guidelines from other s BBQ ing in the US and Oz where outside temperatures are much higher, plus I did mine in the winter!

Q: Does it include two forks and two fixing brackets or there is only one of each as picture shows? what about spit counter balance and bushing?

two fixing brackets and one fork. No counterbalance so additional purchase or careful mounting of joint required. There are no bushes either end of the spit, just a reduced, machined circular section at each end. The drive point at the motor end is a dual pin that fits into a notch on the spit. On my first BBQ I left the joint unattended for 1/2 hour and found the spit and moved longitudinally along it's axis and separated from the motor. The joint had cooked on one side more than the other during the period. Still OK but keep a regular check on the connection at the motor end. Doesn't damage anything just slips out.

Q: what is the maximum pig weight that can be used on this spit?

I cooked a 3 kg joint easily. I'd be confident in doubling that weight, possibly more for future BBQ's It could probably take a suckling pig at around 6 -8 Kg.
