A interesting book
The book Pattern which is about the 33rd regiment of foot is very interesting. Learned a lot of a British foot regiment in the American Revolution. Understanding that it is written by Scottish man and he did do a great job with the information. I do find fault with his understanding of the second battle of Trenton. Colonel Edward Hand led his men and deployed them to slow down the British and German regiments under Cornwallis from reaching Trenton to early. The Americans were not driven back. As the British deployed for battle the Americans fired and drop back. Cornwallis’ men first learned of his presence when a mounted jäger fell dead from his horse at the same moment they heard the dreaded crack of the American rifles. The Americans did amazing job delaying the units under Cornwallis. And were not driven back.
