Better on ice than snow
On the ice, these are very effective at keeping you steady and giving grip and they are well worth the money. They’re surprisingly easy to get on but you might want to refer to the pictures on the packaging first to determine the front from back ends. Once on, they’re extremely comfortable to the point that you won’t even notice they’re on.The snow is a slightly different story. The snow tends to get packed in between springs and gaps to the point that your shoe feels quite heavy. Micro spikes or longer would be a better bet there.

Good traction and inspires confidence when walking outside
* PhysicalI love walking. Been exercising this way for over a decade. And I have lost a huge amount of weight with an intermittent diet. My sister noted I was frustrated with the slippy paths. And staying indoors to keep safe. She put me on ice grips. I decided to look in Amazon's databases for a good solution. I was taken aback when they arrived as I thought it was just one grip. These grips are made in France. They look and feel lightweight. They are not under-engineered. If you've bought the correct size they will fit your footwear. I have a cross of walking boots and trainers. These grips fit well and seem secure on my boots. I have taken several shorter walks to try them out, and these give great traction and inspire confidence when outside in the cold weather. You still need to walk flat-footed, shorter than your normal stride, and both slowly and carefully. I checked with my family members and my uncle texted me back and he has the same model. They have lasted him for winter weather after winter weather. There is a Pro version available on the Yaktrak store, if you are contemplating serious expeditions in the snow and ice at around £33

Fit a size 6 walking boot/wellington.
Thankfully, the size small fits tightly under sole and over front toe and heel to rear of my size 6 walking boots. However, I'd suggest next size up for a size 7 boot. I've not worn out yet as the snow/ice has dissolved. However, I'm sure they'll secure my walks during icy weather. Hoping they are durable and last for quite a few winters as they weren't cheap.

Not for everyday use, but great for when you do need them.
In the end we didn’t use these when we bought them for a recent holiday. However, was really impressed with the quality and fit of these when they arrived so decided to keep them for future use. Probably won’t need to use the regularly, but in the event we do they slip really easily over boots and shoes - therefore giving extra stability in icy conditions. Definitely a better to have it and not always need it rather than need it and not have it kind of order!!

These help you walk on ice and snow
These yaktrax are good for snow and ice but not as good as the heavy duty model but do what they do very well. I got size small witch didnt fit my shoas but oh well.

Excellent product
This is a robust product which will keep you stable and prevent you from slipping over in icy conditions. They are versatile and portable to fit almost any shoe. Very good value for money.

Did the job for a trip to Iceland, but not sure how much longer they will last
Update: December 2022:I've worn these once since my Iceland trip, just last week, and they work very well when they stay on. Sadly one came off and was lost and one of the rubber elements has broken on the surviving one.2019 review:I thought these devices were good, they worked and enabled me to walk in snow and ice much more easily, however they weren't entirely foolproof, as I still slipped a bit in slushy snow, as there is no traction with slush, so be careful. On firm, compacted snow and ice though, they're good, although they were no use on the glacier.Although they're a really tight fit on your boot, I still found that they would come off occasionally - mine came off on about three or four occasions during a week away in icy Iceland, and it was only thanks to other tourists spotting that I'd lost one that I was aware of it.Since I've got home, where it's not snowy or icy, I've noticed that one of the thick rubber supports is wearing thin so whether they would survive another trip intact is 50-50.I probably would not buy the same product again if I could find something that would stay on my boot more securely.
