As a PGY-4 anesthesiology resident, NYSORA has always been my primary resource for everything related to regional anesthesia. Their website has also always served as a quick, convenient reference. While I do love the accessibility of the digital platforms that NYSORA offers on desktop and mobile, it is really wonderful to have this beautiful book that's complete with high resolution, printed photographs. This manual is big enough to display large images and illustrations, but also lightweight enough that it's easy to transport and be a convenient reference in the hospital. They have done a wonderful job striking a balance between brevity and completeness with presentation of information. Anatomical considerations, transducer positioning, indications, local anesthetic choice, and anesthetic volume are included throughout the book, but not in an overwhelming manner. As one might expect from NYSORA, the contents of this manual are thorough and include common as well as more niche blocks. Upper extremity, lower extremity, truncal, and head and neck blocks make up the content of this book. It's worth emphasizing that this is a beautifully printed book. The black page color is not only aesthetically pleasing, but makes it easy to appreciate the anatomical photos and thoughtful illustrations that accompany each block description. This is an especially excellent resource for anyone who learns well by looking at a physical textbook. Overall, I strongly recommend this manual for anyone who performs any type of regional anesthesia. It's not only great for learning, but excellent reference material even for those with experience. Very well done.

This book arrived at just the right time for me. I'm preparing for the exams and this has answered so many questions I had. The Manual just makes it so clear; the steps are logical and the illustrations make it easy to grasp the principles, without too much complicated text or references (the references are there, but listed at the end of each section). The real strength of this book is that it achieves just what the author sets out to do: to provide the right balance of illustration and information for those of us who need to understand ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks (PNBs) and interventional analgesia injections.

Das NYSORA Nerve block manual ist ein absolut empfehlenswertes Buch! Praxisnah, mit wunderbaren Abbildungen, und am Ende jeden Kapitels steht ein Troubleshooting-Algorhythmus. So was habe ich bisher in keinem Buch gefunden. Und die Anleitungen sind super einfach zu folgen. Außerdem schaut es halt cool aus, mit schwarzen Seiten und so. Bin von sämtlichen Chirurgen angesprochen worden, was es für Buch sei, und ob sie durchblättern können. Ein rundum gelungenes Buch also. Empfohlen für jeden Anästhesisten, der Regionale macht. Kostet einiges, dafür ist es wirklich das einzige Buch über RA, dass mich wirklich überzeugt hat.
