good ramp, used for post surgery for dog
I bought this for my dog who tore his acl, needed surgery, and wasn't allowed to do steps or jump in and out of the car. I had a previous more normal dog ramp that wasn't wide enough for my dog, so I bought this wheel chair ramp because I wanted to make sure my dog was safe. I've mainly used it for my dog to go outside down a couple of patio steps. So I had set in place and it stayed there for weeks. It was very helpful and effective for that. The length was vital and worked well. It was easy to open up and set in place. Sturdy and solid for my 250lb self and 60 lb dog to walk up and down, though it has a little give to it. Since I'm in the midwest, the grip texture is great to prevent slipping most of the time. With snow and ice though, it does get very slick. I shoveled it off and put some pet safe salt on the ramp to prevent that. I did fold it back up and move it to use with my SUV to take my dog for post surgery folowup visits since he's not allowed to jump into car and heavy to lift in.. It does work well for that too and folds up nicely to fit easily in my back seat. However, for a time or two that's great... but for long term use that gets to be old. It's difficult to fold up and put away while also dealing with an excited dog. It also does take up the whole back seat. For my purposes, that was all fine and livable. It's wide width was excellent for my dog, especially when he was unstable with a limp. For long term use, I'd go back to a more compact dog car ramp when he's healed. I think it would do well for its intended purpose of a wheel chair ramp that is occasional use portable.

Works well and easy setup
Works well, just be very aware which side is top and bottom. I did not pay attention at first and it was not as stable. When I corrected it I was very satisfied. My daughter was able to use her wheelchair with no issues. She weighs 60 pounds + the 150 pound wheelchair, the ramp was still supportive and heldup. Good traction and no problems setting up and putting away.

Portable Wheel Chair Ramp
Love the fact that this is portable and love the fact that it is adjustable to any stair height you need it. I ordered my ramp according to the chart (based on how many stairs you have. The instructions are poor. Came with booklet labeled "instructions", but unclear....instruction booklet kept saying refer to instruction manual. There was no other manual enclosed. Had to figure it out myself. Has these hanging chains with pegs (can't figure out what they are for). Ramp is very sturdy, but only fit for wheelchair and scooters as stated. I purchased it as a walking ramp for use with a wheeled walker. I have three stairs....Worked great on the lower steps, but too steep for walking up or down when placing the ramp on the second and third steps. Going to order a wheel chair now. Regardless...will come in handy when moving other objects.

A perfect solution
We needed somthing that we could use temporarily at a rental home. We found this product. There is no assembly. It unfolds easily and is readily put in place. While the ramp is rated at 800 lbs there is a little noticable give at the center of the ramp when loaded with a wheelchair. That causes an issue that most users will not have. Our user has vestibular issues and the least give in the ramp causes orientation problems. It was a minor fix by inserting something under the full width at the center. Otherwise, a perfect solution.

Wheel Chair Ramp perfect for what we are using it for.
This ramp was purchased for an aging Chocolate Lab to get in and out of RV. I love it and it works great except the covering is slippery. Also a slight bit heavy to carry. But if using for Wheel Chair it would be perfect. Holds the weight really well.

Cheaper Than a Carpenter or Handyman
I got this to replace a rotted part of a wooden ramp. The part closest to the ground had rotted away, but the rest is still intact. This ramp was far more affordable than what a professional carpenter would charge to either fix it with wood or rip it out and put in stairs. I use a walker, not a wheelchair - and frankly, I would be more comfortable with a set of "half-stairs" (stairs only 3" high instead of the usual 6"), but the previous owner had chosen a ramp for his needs and completely deleted any stairs that might have been in this spot. Anyway, this ramp seems great after one use. It not only bridges the space between the ground and the still-useful wood, but goes up far enough that there's plenty of stability. I like that it has decent edges, which will be great when hauling stuff up with a dolly. I don't have to deal with rolling things in very often, but when the occasion does arise, not having to worry about dropping a wheel off the side will be a plus. The great things about it being aluminum are that it should be able to handle being left out in the Florida weather forever, and it's a lot lighter than steel or thick plywood would be. I also love the nonslip layer. I don't intend to "port" this "portable" ramp anywhere ever, and I will say that I'm glad of that. It's heavy enough that it would be a royal pain if I had to move it. The only problem is that it came without any written setup instructions. The enclosed booklet just gave warnings. I knocked off one star for that. I am NOT a "visual learner" who can just watch a video once and know what to do. Written instructions with words and diagrams would have been much better!! As it was, I had to watch a video about 10 times to see exactly what the demo person was doing. With proper written instructions, I would have understood in just one read-through. It is something that, once you've done it once, you won't need instructions again. But if you've never done anything like this before, it's not intuitive at all despite only needing four "unfolding" motions. Bending is hard for me, so I couldn't measure before I ordered and I had to guess. It turned out to be about 1-1/2 feet too short to cover the entire length of the existing wood ramp. That's on me. I couldn't have handled a heavier one anyway. But later on, I may buy a 2-foot ramp to use as an extension.
