Musica Nuda I

I first heard their version of 'Roxanne' being used by KEF Audio to demonstrate their £25,000+ speakers and just had to track this album and artistes down! I'm so glad I did. Musica Nuda is exactly what it says.. a phenomenal vocalist, Petra Magoni, whom I'd never previously heard of, accompanied by a staggeringly good cello player. I have a very good quality audio system and this album gets the absolute last drop from it. The purity and crystal clarity of the vocals coupled with nothing other than a beautiful cello, plumbing the depths of my system is nothing short of 'breathtaking'. If you have a quality system and want to show it off - buy this album. If you just want to listen to some staggeringly good and unusual arrangements of classic songs.. Buy this album.. Some may say it's too much of the same, but you don't have to listen to the entire album at once !! To sum it all up... BUY THIS ALBUM !! I promise you - you wont regret it !

This recording is interesting to listen to consisting of a singer with a double-bassist and that's it. The music is basically a number of covers of well-known songs. However, this is a very well prduced recording and shows just how poor the recording quality of most CDs is. So it is a great recording for testing you hifi playback and to show off how good it sounds! Now thinking of getting Musica Nuda II!

Great voice and accompanied just by a Bass, no wonder this is a favourite for speaker demonstrations. Great for showing off your Hi-Fi if you do have quality sound system too. With a bit of volume it literally moves you. Unfortunately, whilst a nice album it is a bit too 'samey' to warrant five stars and I suspect that after a while it may only get played on rare occasions. Glad I have it though . . . even just to experience that beautiful wooden bass sound.

Superb sound beautifully recorded; great hifi. I would not listen through the whole CD, though, as it is somewhat samey. Worth having but, to me, not one I would play often.

Whatever yo do, do not turn up the wick on your Amp before playing the first track on here, the very loud and deep opening will have you lunging for the volume control.A unique duo - definitely recommended.

An unusual if different style of music featuring just to musicians Petra Magoni (Singer) & Ferruccio Spinetti on Chello, very well recorded a favourite amougst audiophiles.
