Well made for the price
We needed a tall and narrow dresser for our guest room. I wanted all wood and a rustic finish. This works well. It took about 2 hrs to assemble. It was fairly easy. Drawers are nice. Finish looks high end. Great value for the price. Happy with the purchase. Nothing was damaged either which is nice.

Nice and sturdy
A vey nice looking and extremely sturdy 5 drawer chest. Took me "five hours" to assemble, since it had a huge amount of screws and pieces. End result is, pleasing to the eyes, structurally solid and spacious drawers, also very pricey.

It is a real wood
High quality, looks beautiful. We order full bedroom set and we really like it. Highly recommend. One thing if you would plan to return it it going to be at your expense. Since the staff is heavy its pricey, keep it in mind🧐

Why not paint the back
The assembly is quite easy. Delivery was fast, but I’m not sure why not paint the back of the dresser.

beware!
I bought the Montauk 5 drawer chest from their website. I began assembly and got about half way through. Suddenly, I noticed the pieces did not fully line up. The top and the bottom of the dresser were cut about 1/4 inch longer then the center middle supports that held the drawers. This left and 1/4 inch gap all the way up the side of the dresser. The drawers obviously would be to narrow to fit in the drawer guides.I contacted customer support and they gave me 2 choices. Send them pictures which they would forward to the owner/engineer for review. They would then send me replacement pieces. Or, I could donate the chest to a charity and send them a copy of the donation receipt. After waiting a week for them to get back to me with the pictures I sent to them, I decided to disassemble the chest and take it to Goodwill. Keep in mind, this weighs 100 plus pounds, comes in 2 boxes, and the large box is more than 5 ft long and 3 ft wide. It wouldn't fit in my car. I had to borrow a truck. I kept thinking this cannot be right. What if I were elderly? What if I were disabled? These are massive, heavy, pieces of furniture that come in hundreds of pieces that need assemble. To unassemble it and fit it perfectly in the box so it can be taped up and dropped at Goodwill is no small task and took a couple hours. Putting it together takes about 4-5 hours (just look at the other reviews). I spent about $550, plus tax, on the chest.I tried to explain to customer service that this dresser was unsafe to put together because it would collapse under its own weight without the supports in the middle being able to secure the structure of the chest. I asked to speak to a manager and there is only one person in their office handling returns named Millie. They also do not accept phone calls and only converse through email. Be prepared to type your frustrations and wait for a reply. The pictures I sent in did not allow me to show all the pieces that I would need to properly assemble the chest. So, how many times would I have to contact them and wait for the owner to send me the right pieces I needed to complete the chest? I felt trapped but wanted my $550 back. They basically forced me to donate an unsafe, unassembled, unusable chest to Goodwill. I probably wasted 5-6 hours on this total and in the process it sat on my living room floor for about a week and a half with wood and hardware everywhere. Millie, the customer service rep/manager was not even apologetic. Nor did she make any effort to work with me. They held my $550 over my head and forced me to figure out how to get this massive, unusable, unsafe box full of wood to a Goodwill and make it their problem. How frustrating and ridiculous! This company has lots of complaints with their local BBB in Virginia. After reading the other reviews, I realized it is a gamble whether or not you will receive a piece of furniture that can be assembled correctly. It simply isn't worth the gamble for me. If you loose you either eat the cost or have to box it up and get it to a donation center. It isn't right in my mind and customer service is all but non-existent. Before you purchase, go to the website and watch the you tube video by the owner/designer. See if you feel like you can trust him! I think this is a partial scam and amazon should drop them.
