Great corner filter that does the job
I wanted a filter for my tank that could be put in and removed with a low clearance (we have a shelf almost directly above the tank with an attached light on the bottom of the shelf). This filter did the job. With hangover the side filters, I couldn't get them out to clean easily (it's a 20 gallon tank). This stays to the back corner, out of the way and the noise level is fine - all dependant on your water level as far as the splashing sound. Motor sound we not bad at all. The suction power is definitely not lacking. Many times I had to use a knife just to pry the edge of a suction off the glass wall to get it off. Better to have better suction than not! This was so easy to clean and kept the water clean. I loved the adjustable water flower at the top and the ability to have more bubbles/air go in, or less. The 'rain arm' feature was nice as well. I would definitely recommend this filter for all it brings and all the boxes it checks off. It was a good value (it's still running well over a year later) and is functioning how one would hope and expect!

Excellent Filtration and Quiet (Ignore Frequently Returned Warning)
The media could not be loaded. I use this filter in both 6 gal and a 3 gal aquariums. They are powerful and quiet. The best filters I've had. I like that it has the option for 3-tiered filtration but it works so well that I may forgo carbon altogether to reduce using pre-filled cartridges. I use Seachem products and my water is pristine and healthy. As you can see in the video, I use the waterfall feature. I put in the lowest flow setting. The current doesn't sink food or disturb the fish. I have a Betta and 3 Tetras in my second aquarium and the current doesn't bother the Betta either.I tested three filters before deciding on the Hygger filters. The other two were ZooMed Betta Clean and Penn-Plax Cascade 300. I wanted internal filters. Unfortunately , the noise and water flow of these two models weren't to my liking. I was concerned that the Hygger filter is listed as a frequently returned item but I'm glad I decided to try it out. It's definitely an option worth exploring.

Works well but be ready to get wet and dirty with maintenance
Installled this in a 20 gallon planted tank and added an air pump since it had the inlet feature which is nice. It moves the water well and filters really good.Only gripe is cleaning the filter media. Removing it and cleaning everything out and putting it back is a task and disturbs the tank more than I like. May have to modify my lid so that I can put an over the back filter which is more convenient and less bothersome to the tank.

Too weak
Update: it stopped working after only two months. This is a nice looking internal filter which is absolutely quite. The installation was easy and I was able to replace some of the media with the ones from my older filter. However, the flow is so weak. Weaker than even what I get from a smaller filter.

Good filter for small tank
I quite like this filter for my 10 gallon tank. It's easy to maintenance, works well and isn't that loud. Definitely keep smy water clean but I do have to clean the filter media out each week to ensure goo flow.

Not for anything less than 5 gallons
This is rated for 1 to 8 gallon tank. I find that even when you move the knob so the filter is the weakest, its still too strong for my 3 gallon. The filter is also pretty large for “small” filter. For context, my tank is the 3 gallon Aqueon cube which is about 9.5 inches tall. My betta will be arriving today so we’ll see if the filter works out or not.Aside from that, the design of this filter is great. I love that it has slots for mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration.

Cool concept, pump is possibly weak/flawed
Pump output already decreased significantly after just one month. I kept the media clean and the tank only has seven small fish (grow out tank). Maybe I got unlucky, but I'm going to go with another filter that I've used before and know is reliable.I really like the concept and aesthetic, maybe a stronger/more well built pump would be better. Giving it a star due to the concept and variation in filter media in compact form. Also due to the pump being quite close to the surface, if you are away and the water level decreases due to evaporation, it could begin pulling in air and damage the pump. Something to keep in mind!
