This is not quite the quality of what a good shop would use, but incredibly better than the simple code readers that you get for the $40-$100 range. This goes deep if you know what you are looking for, but it also has some quick tests for the layman that are VERY helpful. I looked at a beater Ford Sporttrac that a fellow was selling recently for 6K. Of course there was no check engine light, so the seller said it was in top notch shape. This vehicle was ragged out. Reader showed a leak in the evap system, both front drive and passenger airbags were reading error (both had deployed and had bad or no replacements), and several other HIDDEN problems that the seller kept quite about. The check engine light was probably a 100 miles or so from coming back on. Also, I live in an area that requires emissions. This vehicle would have been useless to me and would cost god knows how much to get to pass emission inspection. WHEW! Kept me from wasting 6K on a piece of crap vehicle that was a danger to drive. WELL worth the money.

Great scanner for the price.Does what all the more expensive ones do for cheaper.

Great product however, you cannot program ABS modules or other modules to the computer but that’s OK. It’s very useful for everything else you need to diagnose vehicle problems
