AKUPilgrim DS - Desert Fast Drying Infantry Combat Boots

I bought these boots after seeing them on Soldier Systems Daily. Having some time with the Incursori I thought I'd give them a shot. I am on a range a lot in a hot wet environment and these were not so deserty.Yet this past two months, I put in a pair of just the plastic arch support from a set of old superfeet insoles and completely changed how these boots feel and wear. Just amazing. On my feet12-14 hrs a day then moving around and no soreness or pain. They have held together real well in really tough river rock gravel and clay. No issue with laces or metal pieces. Just a good piece of kit. Great craftsmanship and material. Cheers. Mike T

Excellent boots. Use the half sizes to get a perfect fit. They are sized as expected. Very comfortable, and extremely adjustable. I can’t speak to the long term quality, but with a couple miles in them, I wouldn’t want any other boots.

I am a shoe freak. I bought a pair of these exact boots in size 9..... They are slightly larger than the average company's size 9. I would be better off with an 8.5. In any case, this Italian boot company makes combat boots for the British military also made a model for the US Navy Seals. The unique looking design is tough and stiff and the Vibram soles are excellent at gripping just about any surface the Earth can throw at you. I will absolutely buy AKU again. I am actually so impressed with AKU that I'm actually considering becoming an AKU fanboy and strictly using their boots for Hiking and other outdoor activities.If you usually wear a 8-9 size shoe, get the 8 or 8.5 in this model. The 9 will likely be too large.
