Das Keyboard4 Ultimate : Cherry MX Blue Clicky EU Layout (DASK4ULTMBLU-EU)

There are sound comparison videos out there which are way too loud and don't do this product any justice. Because of them, I was thinking blue MX switches will be too loud but that's not the case. Actually, when you adapt to typing on a keyboard with mechanical switches, you find yourself hitting the keys with less strength and that results in faster and quieter typing with a satisfaction only MX blue switches can provide.The only thing I would change on it is the positioning of USB cable which is centered, it would be better on the right side where USB ports are. Other than that, a palm rest would be nice feature. Perhaps in next version?Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product and would highly recommend it.

Use it everyday at work. It feels beautiful.There is one problem for me (not really with the keyboard). The problem is that this is the model without printed characters on the keys and I am a good touch typists so I thought that this would not be an issue but it is quite a challenge anyway. The main issue is that if you constantly have to take your hands off the keyboard, perhaps to use the mouse, turn round and talk to a colleague, drink some coffee etc then I very regularly fail to find the home keys correctly. Then again when I am typing complex passwords with unusual characters and can neither see the keyboard keys or the characters I am typing it becomes almost impossible. As a result I have to base my passwords on things that I can type easily each time.

After having a bad quality mechanical keyboard that gave up the ghost after 2 months of light use, I decided to do my research. At the end, the Das fit all my requirements:- Blue switches, which in my opinion are much nicer to type on than reds, I had quite a few typos due to accidently pressing keys on my reds - no problem on these blues- Extra USB ports, just really handy- ISO layout, for a larger return key, it's what I'm used toBlank keycaps make the keyboard look really good, they might get you some odd looks if you're using it in public - obviously this isn't for you if you can't touch type, there are non blank versions if you'd prefer that. Media keys and volume switch are handy, these are not blank as they're non-standard, but they are dark so you won't notice in low-light.

Amazing and awesome! This is a really good keyboard. I chose the clicky version and it provides an amazing tactile feedback. The overall build quality is unlike any other keyboard I have use for a long time. The top is (or at least feels) metallic and it is quite heavy, making it really sturdy.You cannot go wrong with this!

Hands down the best keyboard I have ever used.Keys are so smooth

Beautiful keyboard that sounds amazing and feels amazing to type on although for people unused to touch typing or blind typing I would recommend the model with key markings.The 2x 3.0 ports were very useful as my g13 and mouse cables were not long enough to reach my computer but the long k/b cable allowed me to connect them with no hassle.

Ordered from a retailer recommended by Das Keyboard. Upon receipt there were more than 20 keys for which the switches were clearly faulty and either didn't click or 'crunched'. I have a Das Keyboard Model S Ultimate for comparison on which every switch is perfect. Very disappointed.
