This item works great. It stops the tail sweep from spraying water out of the pool and onto anything within range. I was also able to increase the water flow through the tail sweep hose which gives it a better sweeping action. When I first attempted to snap it on to the end of the hose, the prongs were too wide apart. A simple fix was to heat a cup of water to near boiling in the microwave then submersing the prongs in the hot water for about 30 seconds. Then, using a cloth to insulate my fingers from the hot prongs, I pressed them together a bit and allowed them to cool. They retained the new position and snapped right on. They have been on now for a couple of weeks with no issues of falling off. I saw the original equipment item in a local pool store for almost $60.00, which I think is outrageous. The price of this one was very reasonable and certainly worth it.

Does not fit snugly onto Polaris tail. Too big to stay on Polaris tail. Fell off tail first day.
