Second update: changed to one star for the boots only - Do not heat mold these until you make sure the size is correct: (Read below) What I really think happened is that Bont incorrectly marked these! I bought a new (much better) boot different brand and sized at a 37 (that should equal 1/8 inch or 3.175mm difference in length and as well as width. These things are no joke two whole inches longer in the front measuring from mount to mount (both 195). If it feels comfortable when you put it on it will be too big. Bonts are overpriced IMO. I used to love Bonts but now they are cheap material but an expensive boot. The frames are fine. The bering set are fine the wheels are fine but the boot .. is heavy, doesn’t mold well (at all) and big. Con - Bont Sizing isn’t correct for me. Every pair of speed skating boots I have ever owned was a 37.5, but that was well over 20 years ago. So, that being said, I went with Bont sizing chart AND even remeasured before using Bont’s size finder on Bont.com. I populated my length and width info for both feet, and I was advised of a size 6 or 38. Since they advise ‘sizing isn’t like regular shoe sizing…blah blah blah’ I went with their advice. So size 6/38 is what I bought. They are way too big. Dummy me, thinking I could mold them to my foot to get a better fit, I did just that. My former inline boots from the ‘olden days’ were custom casted or molded around my foot by a professional. Not at home. I don’t even like molding my snowboard boot liners in the oven… However, after watching video after video, and of course following Bont’s instructions I was ready to roll…(no pun). I went skating at my former racing rink and straight away I couldn’t cross over as the boots were so big - my feet and ankles were SWIMMING in them… To alleviate this I put two pairs of Nike Dry fit cushion socks on. That worked but it wasn’t the most comfortable. I used them for about an hour and decided I needed an 37. Unfortunately, Amazon sends us to the seller, and Bont says that they are not responsible for sizing issues thus will not return. Seriously? Of course if I just randomly chose a size 6, I’d get it but two of their charts recommended an inappropriate size and with (6 regular) After I put the second pair of socks on, although somewhat uncomfortable it was hot this day so the boots just molded to my feet from the heat? I really enjoyed them. They roll and roll and roll with little effort. They are light weight and I love the larger wheel size. I used to have to skate 5 - 76mm wheels. If the sizing was perfect and the boot comfortable, I would definitely give 5 stars due to the enhancement of the larger wheels, lightness of the frame and roll of the bearings. The theee mentioned are so much better than gear I had back when that was quadruple the price (boots not included!). Update: I’m am so very bummed at Bont skates (I previously owned a pair of Hustlers, Sharkies, and Blue Bottoms) I went skating again, and I wore the same socks (washed) and they were so uncomfortable. So I took a pair off and my feet were swimming. At the end of the previous mentioned session, I was pushing, double pushing and crossing over at a nice clip! This time, with one sock on, I had lace bite, my feet again were swimming and due to the lack of stability, when I was crossing over at a moderate speed, i ate it so hard that my husband heard it over the music from across the rink. Given that I know how to properly fall, I avoided the frontward fall and thought I’d slide on my thigh.. nope. I seriously injured my coccyx. Thanks. Now, I wanted these boots to work so bad that I removed the frames and remolded them two evenings ago. I went out last night and still, too pig in the ankle and whole foot. Lace bite hurt so bad, which has always been an issue but also, the foot bed was super uncomfortable and it is fixed so I can’t buy better ones that may help the fit and heel lift. Bont advertises that the Thermoplastic Resin / carbon mix is more heat moldable. I’m not understanding this one. Out of all the boot I had owned (which ranged from 1992 -1999) none were this uncomfortable and were full carbon oh and real leather. The last time I had put my inline speed skates on was in 2011 after about 10 years and I had zero issues! Not to mention, they fit like a glove. I tried it again and yup, still fit like a glove and I had no issues skating. Except that they are super old skool with a 155 mount. That said I’m not buying the sales pitch of the boots being more comfortable and moldable as a partial carbon boot. Now I understand why boots and set ups are so inexpensive vs when I was racing. Edit: I have tried and tried and tried to make these work. I have even contacted Bont directly, as Amazon advised and silence. I have a pair of superfeet that I use in my snowboard boots that are high arch - fit women’s 6.5 - 8 or fits men’s 5.5-7 (the pink superfeet) and even then the end of the insole provides an inch at the toes. If these six are size 38 euro, I’m a 37.5 normally, this tells me the sizing is waaaay offf.

Growing up I always had to borrow skates to be able to wear inlines. I was so excited to own my first pair and I truly love these skates! I am still building up my ankle strength and I have to remold the ankles but I couldn't be happier!
