Are the straps suppose to be installed under the weather stripping that are inside the vehicle doors? or, can the straps go over it?

Hello, if you don't have roof rack, we suggest that you could install the door hooks under the weather stripping. And we don't suggest make the straps go through car windows, it maybe cause water leaking through the windows.

Hello, this roof bag comes with 8 straps connected to the top. If you have a cargo basket, then all straps could be used to fasten with bars of basket. If not, you only need 4 straps.
