very sturdy Gold standard
Heavy but once on your waist it is not as bad.

Very useful
I bought this as it’s a requirement of my bike insurance to have a gold standard lock. I didn’t want to carry one around on the bike or in a bag so the fact that you can wear this one is a great selling point. It’s heavy and robust and I think it would be very difficult for a thief to get past.

It is heavy tradeoff
This is on the heavy side although it wraps around my e bike.I haven’t feel weight much while wearing it although I felt I’m going a bit slower than usual. I think you may consider getting folding lock or 2 D locks instead of a single large lock. If you really want a wearable lock also check out sold silver version which is way more lightweight.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really practical high value lock that offers great security for your bike. It gives you peace of mind to walk away knowing that if somebody wanted to steal your bike, they’d have to spend a long time trying and go through some serious faff to do so. It works well, and is very easy to fit. It is a little heavy, so keep that in mind if you’re not wanting to carry the extra weight. But for us, it’s definitely worth it. Would recommend.

Using daily for over two years
Bike not stolen as of yet, the reflective sleeve has certainly been worn out a little tying through the wheel but I’m happy with it. Comfy on the waist just me prepared to stain your clothes if you do tie through the wheel

Excellent Theft Deterrent
I've used this lock on a particularly popular bike I own and it has done an excellent job at stopping would-be thieves dead in their tracks. It uses a deep slot rail key which makes it much more difficult to be opened with a lockpick. Right out of the box it comes with three keys with a free online registration allowing you to purchase more if your current keys ever go missing. Wearing it around my waist is comfortable although it does sag whilst walking. However, when on the bike it remains planted and secure and doesn't affect the cornering ability whatsoever. The chains are thick and durable and wide enough to securely fit between my rear wheel and frame, and with a gold rating, this lock brings the guarantee of having the best protection level available. HIGHLY recommended.

Excellent lock, brilliant idea but heavy for longer rides!
I've only ridden a bike three times whilst wearing the Hiplock so these observations are therefore sincere but limited. Obviously I have to trust the security rating but that said the Hiplock certainly appears to be a well made, high quality lock and chain. It's a brilliant idea. I like the covering of the chain, which is durable and washable when the time comes, and the easy waist fastening/releasing using the plastic clip. The large key is not double sided so one needs to look at the lock when inserting it, but practice will make that more instinctive. A little practice is also needed to quickly unbuckle, put the chain around the bike and then padlock it - and to reverse the process so that the padlock is not on the same side as the retaining clip, which prevents you securing the chain around your waist! But again that's only practice. Surprisingly, the weight is not really noticeable on rides of about five miles, particularly when wearing a few layers of clothes. I think this is an excellent product and I shall use it all the time for my commuting bike, which I leave with three locks securing it, and when touring, when it can sit in a pannier if need be. However, I find it too heavy for a day ride wearing thinner clothing and certainly 'overkill' when making a coffee stop with other riders, particularly if the bike is within view.
