Nice little fryer
I was only looking for a basket to fit into a saucepan that I used for occasional frying and ended up buying this instead. It's ideal for 2 portions and the only downside is that I am eating a lot more chips than I used to because it is so easy to use.

It works
This is great for the money it heats up well the thermostat works fine big enough for me as I'm on my own...the Lid fits well and it all comes apart to clean Bonus! The lead you can store on the back where it was when it arrived

too small
It was bought to replace old one, but unfortunately was a lot smaller than expected, would recommend larger item, but not this one. I bought my old one for same price as this smaller one.

Good for two people but can do more
I wanted a small fryer with a removable tank for cleaning. Most are 3litre which are ok for a family but take a while to heat up and use a lot of oil. This is 1.5 litre and heats quickly as the element in in the oil It is easy to clean. Few fryers this size have a separate tank. For larger amounts of chips I half fry them in two lots at about 140’ until they are soft but not coloured then heat the oil to 160+ and brown them as required. The advantage of this is that some of the grand kids like brown chips and some pale. No complaint so far. I would recommend this fryer. The square shape means it takes less space on the bench or in the cupboard

Very Short Electric Cord
Replaced a previous fryer with this, not the best and a little unsafe. So easy to set up and good for cleaning as the inner bowl is removable, also simple to use and produces lovely fried items. The bad bits - the lid just plops and sits on top of the fryer, loosely I might add. The basket is relatively small but big enough for two medium size portions, unfortunately the basket sometimes does not sit flat in the fryer, so is sitting at a slight angle with the handle falling downwards a little, this can mean that some food is not fully in the oil. The basket also has a hook so it can be sat on the side of the fryer with the basket up out of the oil, the problem with this is that the hook has previously been sat in the oil, so you then have oil dripping onto the work surface and down the end of the fryer. Because the fryer is slim when lifting the basket out with food in and shaking a little to drain as much oil as possible off the food and basket, it is so easy for oil to flick in droplets over the side of the fryer. When frying there is a lot of steam, and this is problematic, with the lid just sitting on the fryer loosely lots of water is deposited on the rim of the fryer, and moving the lid off to get cooked items out means that you can end up with lots of oily, watery drips. The electric cord is short, this unfortunately for us does not allow us to be able to use the fryer in a position where the cooker extractor takes the steam away, (we could with the previous one), so lots of steam in the kitchen. All in all, enjoy the food but a little disappointed due to design flaws.

Dangerous
Bought this for my mum. Used for the first time yesterday and it's now in the bin. Oil splatters everywhere even with lid on plus the wall structure is no longer rectangular as one of the sided buckled with the heat. Complete waste of money and very dangerous!
