Highly effective, easy to use, neat and tidy
Keeps excess moisture levels well under control by being left on for an hour or two each - cold - morning. The controls are very simple, but don't expect a lot of fancy features. Easy to move around, easy to empty. I think it can be fitted to a drainage tube but have no experience of trying that (so please don't ask me!)We had an older Ebac model for many years and are very happy with this replacement.

Works faithfully 6th Year on
I bought this for a studio with a condensation issue and I've used it in every place I moved into since then to regulate my rooms' humidity to a normal level. The dehumidifier still works after almost 6 years. I now live in North West England, so I use it almost daily. It feels like a good investment every times I empty the tank full of water.

Not that quiet really
Purchased this to reduce humidity upstairs in my house. It's not exactly quite especially outside the bedrooms. It does extract water but it can only be turned off at the wall socket. It has been built and designed to stay on all the time but if you're trying to sleep you will want to turn it off.The design means it can't stand with its back against a wall as the air passes through the machine from back to front. Some others blow out the top.It is cheaper to run than a desiccant dehumidifier and auto adjusts to moisture levels after a while.

Very Impressed!
With the onset of winter, I was dreading having washing hanging around the house and a friend recommended a dehumidifier. I was a bit skeptical but went ahead and bought the Ebac 2250e and I have to say I am very impressed. It removes moisture from the room, helps to dry washing quicker and when it has been on I notice that the air in the room is much fresher. It is not completely silent, but is more like a low hum which I have zoned out. It is a bit heavy to move around as there are no wheels and it has to be carried - this is not a problem for me, but could be for other people. In terms of emptying the water, it couldn't be easier. The front opens up, you remove the water container, empty and place back in. I recycle the water for plants or ironing. All in all, the Ebac has been a positive addition to the household.

super efficient in every way
I have this dehumidifier already and have been so impressed with it's performance that I bought this one for my daughter. She lives in a flat so it's uses will be for keeping the air dry and comfortable during the many 'English' weather days, drying laundry in a small enclosed room and raising the room temperaure while she is out at work during cold weather. Can't recommend this product enough. I do have a different, cheaper make but find it very noisy and not as efficient at water extraction from laundry. Hope this helps.

Brilliant. Well design and works brilliantly. Buy British.
I have 3 of these in various locations and they are without doubt brilliant. They only come on when needed and quickly fixed any and all damp issues i've had. British made too so you can feel a tinge of national pride to without being called a racist.

Reduced Build/Operation Quality
Bought an Ebac de-humidifier way back in the 90s which is why, when I needed one of these again, I decided to purchase another Ebac one. Because the unit I bought back previously ran for with no issues for numerous years. It might well still be working fine...However, this new generation of de-humidifiers is desperately inferior to how units used to be. Poor build quality. Cheap build quality. Noisy and unreliable. This unit I bought has been swapped once for a brand new replacement and then that unit sent BACK to Ebac for a fault on the cut out mechanism when the water reservoir was full. It was returned to me with that fault repaired but there is now a noise issue. To the point that when the unit is running, when the house is nice and quiet (apart from the unit stopping and starting when moisture is detected), it sounds like there is an intruder downstairs trying to kick my door down. It rattles and shakes during operation like a 1970s Morris Marina topping 85mph. Definitely would not recommend based on this experience. (Oh and the online warranty registration offered by Eback will be a waste of your time. I registered my unit but when I did contact them to report a fault, there was no record of my registration....)

2 years later...
I bought this item in December 2018 and I would say based on price point, effectiveness and durability this product falls in the below average category.I bought this for a 2 bedroom house. It works really well in mild winter temperatures but the slightest hint of frost and it’s largely ineffective and condensation appears. It has no impact on upstairs at all.The most disappointing part of this purchase is that after 2 years it’s broken. The internal coil has cracked and water now leaks out of the electrics. We’ve stored in its original packaging every summer and only used on Auto mode. Given the price point I’m disappointed that this hasn’t worked, nor lasted more than 2 years.I’ve recently bought another, cheaper 20l product and its collecting double the amount of moisture and I can control it from an app. The new product also gives me colour signals for moisture levels in the house so I can choose to turn on a higher mode if we’re cooking for example. In all honesty, if you’re looking for a basic dehumidifier this is fine. But I can’t give this a recommendation for value for money. There’s better out there than this from my experience.
