Very nice travel guitar
For years I traveled with a very nice solid wood guitar that over the years had just become a "beater". Eventually, the rigors of travel began to make it more and more dificult to play without frequent adjustments. So, based on a lot of research, I bought the Enya X3 pro and it is everything I was looking for in a travel guitar. It does NOT have the ringing tone or acoustic projection of a quality solid wood guitar, but, I have received many positive comments on the sound of this guitar and I have been very impressed with the sound quality. Once tuned, it stays in tune. It needed some setup work initially - string relief was too high. The only other spec that I wish I could change is the neck width. I would have preferred 1.75" nut - to match a D-28. I don't think that carbon fiber is going to replace good, stage performance, wood guitars, but they have a place in the guitar world if you are looking for decent and very durable guitar to travel with. An additional novelty is the integrated effects and blue tooth connectivity. The are "fun" to play around with, although I seldom use them.

Absolutely Unreal: The Guitar That Proves Tone Wood Isn't Everything
I'll admit I was skeptical that a carbon fiber acoustic without a single piece of wood in the body would end up sounding like a sterile, plastic-like toy. Well, I wrong. The Enya X4 Pro isn't a gimmick; it's a revelation. This guitar is a complete game-changer and has quickly become my go-to instrument for everything from campfire sessions (projects like a dreadnaught in a GA body) to serious practice. The sound has a Tone so rich, you won't miss the Wood (tone wood joke). From the first strum, the X4 Pro delivers a full, resonant, and balanced sound that rivals instruments two to three times its price. The 95% purity carbon fiber top produces an incredibly rich and vibrant tone that is anything but synthetic. The bass is deep and articulate, the mids are warm and full, and the highs sparkle with a brilliant clarity. Playing an open chord feels like a massive, resonating wave of sound is being unleashed. Enya's "elevated neck" design and offset soundhole likely contribute to this impressive projection and tonal quality. In short, it sounds amazing, and you'll find yourself forgetting it's not wood or simply not caring. The Effects: Built-In Magic for Amp-Free Playing with the Acoustic Plus pickup system, the X4 Pro's "secret weapon" which truly sets it apart. Having high-quality reverb, chorus, and delay effects built directly into the guitar is an absolute luxury. The real genius, though, is that the effects work acoustically without plugging into an amp. This feature alone has completely changed how and where I practice. Adding a touch of reverb or a hint of chorus in a quiet room makes the experience more immersive and inspiring. The integrated microphone also picks up percussive elements for fingerstyle players, adding another layer to the already fantastic sound. The one caveat is the onboard speaker isn't very loud, so if you plan on gigging larger venues than a coffee house, plan on plugging into an amp for the effects to reach the crowd. Beyond the sound, the benefits of carbon fiber are undeniable. I no longer have to worry about temperature and humidity changes warping my guitar, which makes living in Michigan more bearable. The neck is comfortable, the action is perfect out of the box, and it simply stays in tune in fluctuating temps better than any wood guitar I've owned. The Enya X4 Pro is more than a guitar; it's an innovation. It delivers a superior acoustic experience with mind-blowing built-in effects, all wrapped in a durable, consistent, and beautiful package. If you're looking for a guitar that pushes the boundaries of what's possible while being portable enough to throw in the car for the weekend getaway and stay well under $800, this is the best option on the market. An absolute steal for the money.

Enya X3 pro, an affordable carbon fiber guitar!
I met a guy who had two Emerald carbon fiber acoustics and I was blown away. First by the sound and then by the price. So I started my research and came across the Enya X4 pro. I'm not a fan of the gold hardware and the offset sound hole. So I was very happy to see they make the X3 pro and I snapped one up the X3 has the same electronics as the Nova Go but is full sized and sounds better "unplugged". The front is the traditional carbon fiber weave look that we've all seen on racecar hoods and spoilers. The back and sides appear to be glass reinforced plastic. It is matte and looks very clean. I like the rounded edges around the back. It makes it more comfortable to play. Out of the box, the X3 pro is heavier than you expect an acoustic to be. I presume that's due to the actuator and battery inside the body. The electronics work well, but mine seemed quieter than I would have liked. I discovered in the app that you can adjust the output level of the signal, but when you crank it up, the guitar becomes very buzzy and maybe even a little distorted. Once you find the sweet spot though, it sounds acceptable. I have the acoustic setting (green) dialed so that it only has some compression. I want at least one of the presets to be as close to true as possible. I have plans to verify that there aren't any loose plastic parts rattling on the inside of the guitar when I make the first string change. On that note; I usually change the stock strings on every guitar I buy on day one, but these sound good, so I left them. I think I read somewhere that the x3's comes with D'Addarios on them. Out of the box, the guitar played horribly. The action was ridiculous and I spent an hour that first day adjusting the truss rod. Then a couple of tweaks the next day and it played like a different guitar. After I got the truss rod where I thought it was perfect, I trimmed the saddle down about 1mm. I don't recommend doing that if you don't have experience with it. The truss rod adjustment alone was enough, but I'm pretty picky about my setup. You should take any new guitar to a luthier for adjusting as the techs at the factory have to do so may that they don't have time (or patience) to make every one perfect. The neck is the same matte black glass reinforced plastic at the back and sides and plays smoothly without being sticky. I wonder if it's going to start to polish where I play the most like my wood guitars have. Time will tell. All in all, this guitar is really good. I didn't buy it for the effects, I bought it for it durability and price. For anyone who can't, or won't, pay the painful prices for the bigger named guitars this one will work just fine. I give it four stars because of the rattle at high output levels. You would think that the manufacturer would plan for that. However, it has a bright ringy tone that wooden guitars don't have. As such, it's a welcome addition to my collection. And it will stand up to outdoor use and travel better than the wooden guitars will. I often go from places with high humidity to low humidity with widely varied temperatures and I've always worried about my wood guitars in those situations. I don't have to worry with this one. If you're looking to tryout a CFRP guitar and you don't want to break the bank, this is probably the guitar for you. Happy picking.

Recommend: it will add wonderful depth and a different sound to your guitarsenal.
This is a great guitar with a unique/characteristic and wonderful sound in pure acoustic without any effects - it’s surprising really. It’s not a wood guitar, but it will add wonderful depth and a different sound to your guitarsenal. The effects are not as “wow” as some would have you believe. It’s not a shredder. That said, it makes me write and play in a different way. In other words, it gets me out of my familiar and lazy comfort zone and into trying new things. I think guitars are a personal choice and you just find one that fits. I have a cheaper $200 guitar that I would not trade for a $3000 Martin. It is my own “Trigger.” This Enya guitar may not be a soul mate. It is, however, a very high quality technically excellent instrument; more of a predictable quality tool than something organic with a soul. That is actually a good thing, I suspect every one of these will sound very similar and very good. I recommend it. Wonderful bang for the buck.

Great job Enya!
Received my Enya X3 Pro guitar. Very impressed with the guitar's appearance. Playability is very good. Very impressed with the sound. The effects enhance the sound even more! Took it by to a luthier friend. He said it was the best sounding carbon fiber he had heard. Great job Enya!

I really wanted to love it
I bought this guitar for something to bang around with secondary to my Taylor. I love the way it sounds. In fact, in a blind test with my daughter she preferred the sound of this one over my Taylor. Go figure! My main reason for getting it was that I wanted to try a Carbon Fiber guitar and at this price point, it seemed like a very reasonable deal compared to other’s since I was not looking for something expensive. So here we go. Pros: 1. The guitar was well packaged when it arrived in the hard case provided. 2. The had case seemed well put together sturdy and fit’s the guitar like a glove. 3. Sound is really good with deep rich bases, bright highs and amazing sustain(almost too much) 4. Tuners seem of great quality and hold the strings in tune very well. 5. Accessories were good, I mean how many guitar straps do I actually need; it comes with back pack straps for the guitar case although, I would probably never use them. The included cable seemed to be of decent quality compared to the others that I have. Cons: 1. I found the electronics, while fun to play with, to be horrible 2. As with any guitar, it will play out of the box but really does. Need to be set up correctly. The string that the manufacturer put’s on are to heavy IMO. The neck relief was way too much and took a few adjustments to get it right. Once I adjusted the neck relief, put on lighter strings, lowered the action to where I like it, the guitar plays really well. 3. While the frets are beveled it feels like they are a bit high on the bevel as I can feel this when I move up and down the neck. I will probably file them down a bit in the future. 4. The fret markers on the side of the neck are not flush and stick out just a bit. Not a big deal and can be sanded if needed. In conclusion, I have decided to return the instrument because the cost of having it properly set up outweighs the price point, I was looking for. For disclosure, I paid around 450 for the guitar and it would cost around 160 to have it set up.

Sounds and Feels Great
This guitar sounds amazing for its size and the fact that it is made out of plastic and carbon fiber. It’s as loud as my Yamaha (see pictures for comparison). It doesn’t quite have the bottom end or tonal complexity of the Yamaha, but I wouldn’t expect that in a guitar this size anyway. But even if this were a wooden guitar, I would be happy and impressed with the sound quality. I don’t have a Taylor GS mini here with me for an A/B comparison – but playing this guitar reminds me of the last time I played a spruce top GS mini. It definitely exceeds my expectations! It was also perfectly set up out of the box. This is the first guitar I have ever bought that didn’t need any adjustments. Even the strings sound great and don’t need to be changed. The electronics work as advertised. Honestly, though, I don’t use the onboard speaker effects as much as I thought I would simply because the guitar sounds so great on its own. But for occasional reverb or chorus, it’s nice to have on hand. This also sounds fantastic plugged in. I’ve used it with an acoustic amp and an electric amp. It sounds great. I have no complaints.

I got the same dud twice.
Purchased about 2 weeks ago. Guitar arrived dead. None of the electronics worked. Tried charging but a light didn't even come on to indicate it was charging. I checked in the sound hole to see if the battery was at least in correctly and it was, I looked online to see if there was something else I was missing or needed to do but I couldn't find anything. The guitar was packaged nicely and in it's case. There was no clear protective wrapping on the body like some other reviewers have indicated. I wonder if I just got a returned defective guitar they were hoping somone else wasnt going to complain about. I got frustrated and asked for a return because I was a little put off about the whole thing, but I have since ordered another one. I will update my review once I get the new one. Hopefully this time it works. UPDATE: received the second one, or should I say the same one a second time. Same dent in the box. Same way I put the extra stuff back in the box. I don't understand how when you send something back as defective that whoever responsible just sends it out again, I'm amazed it was sent to me for the second time. I really want one that works, but what am I supposed to do at this point? Going to contact amazon later and see what I can do. UPDATE: The company reached out to me... thier idea of help was offering a different model than the X4 Pro... They offered me a discount if i were to order it on amazon again, which i never received, but they couldn't guarantee me that i would get a brand new working X4 Pro, so i simply haven't reordered for a 3rd time. Seems crazy in this day and age for this to happen, but if you live in the south florida area, and order that guitar, they may just send you the same non functional one. Good luck. I will put my money towards the Taylor i wanted.
