Is there a way to install this inside the door casing so it doesnt show?

I don’t think so. There’s a magnet that comes with it that acts as a way to turn off the light when you close the car door. If you were to put the box inside the door frame I can’t see how you would be able to get them to connect so the light isn’t constantly on. The next issue would be constantly taking off the frame to replace the batteries and cutting a hole into the frame so the picture can come through… idk doesn’t seem like it’ll work.

How long does the light stay on?

As long as the door is open the light stays on. Works great! Not easy to install though.
