Columbia Men's Terminal Tackle Long Sleeve Shirt, Wicking Material

-I bought the size Medium, color Mirage/PFG Logo.First off, let me say that this is a good shirt. Its nice and lightweight, and provides plenty of coverage for sun protection.I ordered a size down based on the advice of another commenter, and it was good advice. The size Medium is plenty big enough for a tall, thin, lanky guy.The problem with ordering this shirt is that Amazon is mixing up too many products in one listing and thus is creating some confusion. Even their own staff is confused and are shipping product that doesn't match the displayed photos.The listing is for a "Polo Shirt." Most of the time that would mean a shirt with a collar.Actually, some of the shirts have collars, some don't. It's seemingly random which one you will get. One customer expected one without a collar and got a shirt with a collar. I expected one with a collar and got one without.The logos and graphics shown in the associated photos aren't necessarily the ones you will get either.There are four logos: The small "Columbia PFG" logo and graphic on the front, one of various large fish logos and graphics on the back or a small inverted triangle "PFG Professional Fishing Gear" logo and graphic on the back near the neck; or finally, the large billboard style logo and graphic that covers the entire left sleeve in very large font with "Columbia PFG."I expected the small front logo and the large fish logo on the back. I received the small front logo and the large billboard logo on the left sleeve.It's a good shirt, but you're rolling the dice on which one you will get.-

I do a lot of outdoor activities here in TX. The summer is hot and the sun is intense. I began getting more conscientous when it came to protecting my skin after years of really not doing anything. I didnt want to always lather on sunscreen when I stepped outside during the day so I bought one of these thinking that I would wear it on the boat or in the pool. I have since ordered eight of these shirts and don them every weekend with a pair of shorts during the hot days. As all the reviewer say, the keep you cool in the sun and of course protect your skin. Another benefit is that for some reason restaurants or movie theaters seem to think that since it is 96 degrees outside, it needs to be 65 degrees inside their establishments. I have found that this shirt actually helps in keep me reasonably warm in the extreme A/C. It also is stylish. If you dont like the fishing or big Columbia badge on the sleeve, look through more of the Columbia selections as there are Columbia shirts that are more modest in this regard. I am personally not a fisherman so I boughts some that were less overt in this area.

It's counter-intuitive to wear a long sleeve shirt on a hot day, but this one is great. The material breathes really well and any breeze blows thru it nicely. I found out (by accident) that if you wet the shirt on a hot day, it's even better. They don't stay soaked like a cotton shirt would, so you're not soggy. As they dry, the water pulls away a ton of heat. I'd say the biggest drawback is that it gets dirty extremely easy. This seems to grab dirt better than a white cotton shirt, but it always seems to clean well. I had a fish puke up a minnow all over my sleeve one time, but I immediately rinsed the shirt out and all the stuff rinsed out completely with no staining. This is also how I found that wetting the shirt helps keep you cool.Size runs a little larger than expected, but not ridiculously. I would have gotten 1 size smaller had I known.

Columbia makes lots of great products for fishermen. This one is no exception. I spend LOTS of hours in the sun fishing - whether wading in the river, paddling in my fishing kayak, our trolling/drifting in a boat. Because I do not enjoy sunburn, I try to wear sun protection when I am fishing. I like my shirts to be loose, comfortable, easy drying, and easy cleaning. This shirt pretty much gets that done. While I like the Columbia button front shirts better, they are also more expensive. So this is a worthwhile addition to my fishing wardrobe. I took off one star, because as other reviewers have noted, the sleeves are WAY long.

This shirt is very nice and so far it has endure a good deal of punishment, and still performs as good as new. I use it to mow the lawn, and when doing any other long term outside activities and you definitely can tell the fabric is doing its job, by keeping you cool, even when it's very hot outside. If I'm not wearing gloves my hand always get a suntan, while my arms don't, proof that this fabric really works.I would've given it a 5 star but unfortunately it runs bigger than expected, otherwise it would've been perfect...

The only complaint I could possibly make is about the big logo on the sleeve, but really, who cares? This shirt fits comfortably (which is hard to do with "athletic" type shirts if you aren't built like an athlete), wicks sweat away, dries quickly, keeps cool in the blazing sun, and is indeed thick enough to prevent my very pale skin from getting even slightly red on day-long hikes. If you want the lightest, breeziest shirt possible, this might not be it, because it is a hair thicker than it looks, but the difference is very small. It's also very soft and comfortable, and the white color is only the slightest bit see-through, if you get just the right angle.

purchased because of our recent move to palm springs calif where the summers are in the triple digits. quality is good but fit is crazy, where are these shirts made? ordered medium based on other comments by customers and they were too big iso reordered a small which is better, BUT SMALL IS TAD TIGHT MED IS TAD LONG IN SLEEVES LG IS WHAT AN XTRA LG IS IN OTHER GARMENTS so suggest you have you supplier checked as these are CRAZY SIZES
