ETILtd Comfort thermometer & hygrometer with max/min temperature & humidity function

We have approx 30 of these placed around our care home. All have been in situ for some time and still perform perfectly. The last time I purchased a batch of 10 I placed them all on the kitchen table for a side by side comparison. After they'd been allowed to settle for half an hour they all recorded exactly the same temperature +/- 0.5 degree C. To me and most people that's an acceptable error margin.Keeping a healthy temperature in a care home between 21c and 24C is crucial. The fact that these thermometers show an arrow in a green comfort zone is reassuring for frail people.

This is a good little thermometer, I bought it to take readings for my plants in a window alcove. It has a max/min function that is very handy, and you can change between C and F quickly. And the dial is easily read without any trouble.

Although quite expensive, excellent thermometer for an older person. Even if they don't notice the actual temperature, they can see the arrow change and take action if it is too cold (or too hot). So good we bought two, one for the living room and one for the bedroom for a 90y old.

The item is good but the batteries that come with it was flat

Don't be fooled by the nice crisp display shown in the illustration - the background is a particularly dark shade of the fuzzy grey you get on pocket calculators, which makes it hard to read unless you're close to it and at the right angle. This is less than ideal and would be particularly unhelpful for an elderly user. A backlight button would have helped, but you don't get that either. Don't buy this.
