Bamix Slicesy Processor Accessory

Slicesy or " How to turn your Bamix into a food processor " .I am the proud (french) owner of a Bamix 200 which is a fantastic tool ( efficiency & quality ). If you want to use it as a food processor , you have to buy a SliceSy , which is amazing too , you can grate , mince , pulverize , emulsify , crush to a pulp almost everything you want with it .But its quality is cheap : mine was broken when falling on my feet ( I am not IRON MAN !) so that I had to buy another one . And I bought it on Amazon.UK because it's much more expensive in France :120 Euro !

So far only the SliceSy has arrived but to find the instructions shows 5 blades. 3 to grate from fine to course and 2 to slice thick and thin BUT only 2 are in the box, a thick slicer and a course Rosti grater is disappointing. We cannot use it yet because the hand held machine has not arrived but that is not an issue, it's not due yet. But for the price to find 3 small blades are missing is not great. If you are going to spend £60 (for 2 blades and a cutter)on an attachment then maybe (and we wish we had) spend £105 and get all the attachments bits. For the fist time we did consider sending this back but it's just not worth the hassle.

Not a fan of this. It's not powerful enough to make breadcrumbs from stale bread. I tried to mix a cure for Gravadlax (it contained some thyme) and it wasn't powerful enough to chop up the thyme within the cure, I had to take the salt and sugar out and chop the thyme on its own! I bought this as a space saving idea, but I should have put the money towards something which would do the jobs I ask of it... On a plus (and hence 2 stars, not 1) it does grate veg quite well, but it's a bit fiddly.

I'm very mixed about this item....it doesn't seem to grate/slice fully and leaves a fare chunk behind. I do wonder after spending silly money on the whole shibang if I've been rather stupid and could have got similar much, much cheaper!

Good price but you get two attachments.so far it has done all the jobs with ease.if your looking to do small quantities then this is the tool.if it lasts the test of time then this would be a good buy

It works fine in 1-person household. Handy size for every-day use. Next, I am looking to purchase the 3 more blades, that were not part of original delivery.

We bought this product at Christmas 2010 to accompany the main Bamix bought in the Autumn. Both products are very well manufactured, infact i would say 'engineered'. Professional quality, superbly designed and they do exactly what is expected of them. Absolutely superb in all respects. We now use these products regularly because they are so easy to clean (unlike standard food processers which never come out of the cupbaord because the washing up takes longher than using them). Packaging was good and delivery was extremely swift even at the busiest time of year. Would certainly recommend this product.
