Cult Trip: Inside the World of Coercion and Control

A fascinating account of three different cults, two in New Zealand and one more focused on tantric yoga. Mostly, it's about the misuse of male power and sexuality as a weapon. I read it in a day. Not for the faint hearted, but a very thorough and passionate investigation of real world misery caused by the manipulation of often already damaged people seeking connection and growth by self serving narcissists. I was most shocked by Glorivale, but I'll let anyone interested find out for themselves.

Anke Richter deep dives into multiple cults through the stories of survivors and her own lived experience. Beautifully and thoughtfully written.
