Excellent Fermentation Jar – Perfect for Homemade Pickles & More!
I purchased this 1.5L fermentation jar to make homemade kimchi and sauerkraut, and it works perfectly! The glass is thick and durable, and the water seal lid does a great job of keeping air out while allowing gases to escape, preventing mold and off-flavors.The size is just right—not too big, making it great for small-batch fermenting. The lid fits securely, and the water airlock system is simple to use and effective. I also love that it’s easy to clean, with a wide mouth that makes filling and scooping effortless. If you’re into fermenting pickles, kombucha, or even small wine batches, this is a fantastic option. Highly recommend for both beginners and experienced fermenters!

Well-made glass
It's hard to tell the quality of glass from photos. Reviews of some jars talk of poor quality glass. This one has good glass, no flaws, no cracks, and the design is nice. You'd have to drop it or knock it pretty hard to break it. It's symmetric and looks good. The mouth is too small for my hand. I'm a man with very large hands. It came with a flimsy brush that is hardly usable, but a regular bottle brush works fine. It's fun to watch your pickles making little bubbles.

High Quality - Get the 5L instead
Looks Great, Nice Quality, but the neck is so narrow that it is very difficult to even use chopstick to retrieve contents. The sealing depth for the lid is also too shallow and requires adding water every couple of days to maintain seal.

Attractive and useful
This is an attractive glass fermentation jar with a water seal. I keep one on the counter with fermented lemons. It easily contains about 12 to 14 medium/large lemons. The shape of the jar keeps the packed lemons from floating to the top while fermenting. If I need to put a weight on top, a regular-sized glass jar fermentation weight will fit through the opening.

Great at first- randomly cracked
This jar seemed awesome- thick glass and well made. A few months in and the lip randomly cracked. We were very careful with it and it wasn't bumped. I'm not sure what to think. Up until it cracked, it was awesome. The water did evaporate every few days though like the other reviews said.

Classic szechuan pickle jar
This is a pickle jar. It pickles things. Mine arrived unbroken, in the shape expected, and is being used to make pickles. Szechuan pickles if that kind of thing matters to you, if you're looking for how to do that I would suggest Mala Market which will also sell you the material needed. I will say that the 2.5l version is as described but is probably smaller than you think it is.
