This item looks and is decently made but does not work well if you are picking large poops in grass, My dog is in the lower end of the large dog category the claws do not hold onto the poop and the bag slips off of the claws. I have tried it a few times and got the same results. It may work well picking up on concrete or a hard dirt surface or even maybe a small dog. so far the best way is using the bag with your hand which I am trying to avoid.

It should be just 2and 1/2 stars only!!! I don’t like the way doggy poo feels through the bag. I thought this would be better than having it on my hands even though my hands don’t touch the poo. I stripped the top after the second use. I am not even strong, and I didn’t apply to much force. Great idea but a cheap product!

Very difficult to use in picking up the poop

It was nice for how compact it was but constantly popped open when I went to scoop poo and I would have to screw it back together and fuss with it. Ended up returning it for a different style that it much better.

In theory this item should work as intended, however, the arms that are supposed to pick up the poop are not sturdy enough. If your dog poops in grass it will grab the grass as well as the poop but not sturdy enough to pull up the grass as well. If this thing was made of sturdier materials it would work much better. I do much better just picking up the waste with Amazon poop bags.
